Love this forum.. All of my comments were made by others before me. (have ta join the party sooner.)

I'll add: my son literally said "drop it Sawyer!" when he saw the frog. Said it was poisonous.

Agreed that the clock is 108 minutes, no "grace period." Technicaly we have seen what happens when the clock expires. Nothing. Or maybe ya have 108 seconds after the time runs out...

Sawyer squished the cute lil frog to remind us he is bad. Kinda like kicking a dog. Easy way ta gain character hatred.

And yeah...it would be cool if D.I.A. meant something like Darma Initiative Assignment.

So Kate was in Sayid's flashback and Sayid was in kates (He was on the Tv in the background when kate went to see her dad) I think the scene shown on the TV in kate's flashback was the scene from yesterdays show (when the Americans dropped off Sayid) Not positive though

i liked the Sawyer/Hurley we dont see enough stuff like that, they are stranded on an island stuff like that would happen, seeing that makes them feel like they really are lost

Between Jack and Sayid cutting up terrorists, pulling their eyeballs out and using pliers to snip off fingers.....that would be a kick-ass show -wink-

When I saw Sayid's Torture Toolbox, I thought it was gonna be like the movie Hostel.

I take issue with this. Sayid has every right to kick her ass and leave her for dead. Why wouldn't she do what he says?

Which I'm sure a lot of them are.

I'm not sure what you mean that you take issue with my statement; itwould seem you agree with me. She listens because she is still waiting for his retaliation. I never said he wouldn't be justified (athough killing her for an accident would be out of character for him, I think). But unless she is afraid he WOULD come after her, him having "the right" would not make her listen to him.

Michael Corvin 02-16-06 03:43 PM

^ my bad. Must have misread your post. There has been complaining about it though.

Seriously, just ask "Who won the last Super Bowl?" and kick the shit out of him if he's wrong. Maybe show him a nut. It's not rocket science, Sayid's a crappy torturer, it would take me a minute and a half tops to find out how many Others there were. Sawyer's a much better con man the Sayid is a torturer, I know I was fooled in the flashback last ep. And I wasn't convinced for a second he wasn't an Other. Maybe that wasn't the point, but of course the guys an Other. And they have zero intel on the Others except what their brains look like thanks to Eko, and one guy looks like Roscoe P. Coltrane. And I'd be shocked if they didn't have Desmond by now.

The countdown gets to zero and the things start flipping. I see missile, cool! What looks like an arrow, I'm like okay. Then bird? WTF? Not cool.

Any ep with less Michael and Charlie I'm all for. And they're the most accomplished actors on the show!

This is a TV show and these are actors. Seems silly to state that but your first statement kinda creeps me out. Your second statement is odd because I do not know any torturers to compare any to Sayid and I do not know any con artists to compare to Sawyer. Do you?

It's been said several times in interviews that they do not say anything about current events before they left because it will pin point *when* they are and it could be Anytime.

I think it just related to the real life DIA.

Okay, for some reason my TiVo stopped recording two minutes early. Jack had just opened the door and thrown Sayid out. Prisoner and Sayid exhange a long glance and then bang episode stops. What happened after that?

Blame ABC. They ran Lost 2 minutes long.
They had the flashback of the Army letting sayid go in Iraq where it was revealed that Clancy Brown's character knew Arabic all along.
Then had a awkward beach conversation between Sayid and Charlie about him getting hanged by the others.

well we know it's at least 6 years after the first Gulf War (1991)
since Sayid said he tortured people for 5 years

Well the TiVo knew that it was supposed to run 1:03, and it recorded 1:01 with a (partial) indicator, and didn't tape anything else afterwards. I was pretty pissed.

That's Expanded Universe, and not part of the official canon. -ohbfrank-

That is exactly what I thought... remember... there is some super-strong magnet in that place. And something is/was encased in concrete to protect/hide it. Could it be related?!? Probably!

I agree... I mean, what the hell is the point of a timer countdown if it's not "really" a countdown? It's like when Mom used to say "You've got until I count to three. One... Two... Two and a half.... are you going to make me count to THREE?... Two and three quarters.... "
