I agree with this. They don't need the full-blown intro anymore. When watching, we fastforward past the intro and recap, watch the teaser, fast-forward through the title sequence and the "spoiler" for the ep, and pick it up when the show comes back. Seems unneccesary. Especially after watching a show like Invasion that has a few "previously's" and a 2 second title screen for introduction material.Originally Posted by Duder
Personally, I think they ought to shorten the title sequence of the show. Intro + recap + title sequence is far too long right now, and shortening it would allow them to devote more time to the story itself.

What IS the point of the teaser for the current episode airing right before the show starts? I always look away during that part to enjoy the episode more.

That would give them an extra minute at most. I can't really see that helping.Originally Posted by Duder

I dunno - I think they would end up with more like 2-3 minutes extra, which would equal nearly an hour of extra material each season, at 22 episodes.Originally Posted by TracerBullet

That's nothing to sneeze at.

Never understood why they do that either...and I tend to look away as well.Originally Posted by treszoks

I watch the whole thing, from "The Cylons were created by humans..." right up to the end of the episode. The only thing I skip are the closing credits.
I like the traditional feel of actually having an opening credit sequence, plus it's always interesting to see what shows up in the "previously" segment. It's a lot more than just a quick recap of last week.

I love the intro with spoilers. It is compelling music, and gets the tone set for the show, except when the show is rather slow. But I still watch it every time. Even when I was late to the series and watched the entire 1st season in a few weeks, I watched it every time.

And count me as one who's getting sick of the flashback crap.

I was gonna say, "I didn't know Michelle Rodriguez made it to BSG."She really brought down this episode for me. To be honest, I thought I was watching a season 1 episode that I had missed. I should have caught on earlier, but it didn't dawn on me until later in the episode that the two new guys had said they were from Pegasus. I think that threw me off was the concentration of the flashback as well as how it skipped immediately into the episode.
And what was up with the whole Lee/Starbuck bit?! Just damn weird...
