like most of you on here, i'm enjoying these eps so far. there hasn't been a truely bad one yet. its too bad everything is political and has to be okayed by the network execs. i doubt they'd want to show an abortion on sci-fi. i'm also a bit surprised that with interstellar travel didn't come a cure for cancer.
regarding the baby, so helo thinks its his baby. but Six promised the baby to baltar too, didn't she?
i will be watching how much they let Roslin remember about her visions with baltar and six and how that will pan out.
waiting with great anticipation for the next one.

I'm not much of a fan of deux ex machina, so Laura's cure was a total cop-out as far as I'm concerned. Arresting the spread of the cancer, or stabilizing it, I could handle, but this total destruction of the cancer, she'll be back to normal in a few days business is a little much.
It's kind of disturbing to see Baltar actually do something downright evil. He's been such a complex character so far, it will be a shame to see him turn into a John Colicos, flashlight-under-his-chin bad guy.
The biggest hole I see is, how was the cylon sympathizer able to carry a warhead off the Galactica? They couldn't use a nuke on the resurrection ship because the Cylons would detect the radiation. It's been established that the Galactica has radiological detectors, so how could someone carry off a nuke? Unless, of course, it's already been relieved of its radiological material. Maybe Baltar is playing a game with the sympathizers too?
I like how the Pegasus has been absorbed into the fleet. But I have one minor question. Since the fleet picked up an entire battlestar, one larger than the Galactica. Why hasn't the "roll call" number changed to reflect that? A battlestar would have a crew of several thousand, wouldn't it?

I kept waiting the entire episode for Roslin to spill what she "saw" to Adama and I was CONVINCED there'd be something like "I saw you making out with a cylon on Caprica" in the letter she wrote to Baltar.

I think the Baltar/Six thing was one of those "visions" like the snakes, etc. she saw earlier. She'll start putting the pieces together in the next couple of weeks, I suspect.
I'm betting the season cliffhanger will be

What do you mean Baltar/Six was one of Roslin's "visions".
She was in the market place and SAW Cylon Model Six carrying out her mission with Gaius Baltar. Why wouldn't Gaius kiss a girl in public?
(besides it was fleshed out a little more in the Podcast.)

All the flashback shit was in her head. Who knows if it really happened for not.

In the last scene between Baltar and Six, was that the first time she held something that wasn't being touched by Baltar? I mean, she walked across the room with it.
I may just be overanalyzing a crazy person's visions.

Yeah I think it's the first time she has carried an object around. Of course it could have all been in Baltars head too.

Much more interested in the introduction of the fleet rebels than most of the rest of the story, but we had to have the "President gets cured" episode at some point. It might as well be with a new interesting subplot.

Cool episode. I like that they have complex characters on the show, but Baltar is really starting to bug me. Maybe I just don't do well with the whole "bad guy associating with the good guys" for an extended period of time. But he walks through the halls talking to himself all the time, he's covered up and done lots of stuff. I really think that people would be on to him by now, or at least watching him. Hope Laura remembers what she saw in her visions/memories and blows the whistle on him.
I thought the population count was down way more than 49,000 before the Pegasus episodes? Can anyone double-check that?

I think there's more to the President's cure than her simply getting better. She has Cylon blood in her now. Will the Cylon's react differently to her, perhaps including her as one of their own? Will they be able to control or communicate with her on some level? Maybe she will start to empathize more with them.
There's more to the story.

209 - 47,853
210 - 49,605
So it's safe to assume 1,752 people on a fully armed and staffed battlestar. I still think there has to be much less on Galactica just from the circumstances it was in (battles, being decommissioned).

Adama: They attacked us.
CS: But only after you enslaved them!
What did the cylon sympathizer guy mean by this? The humans not only enslaved the cylon robots but also enslaved the biological construct-like cylons? And how were they enslaved exactly?

My thought as well. Screws up the prophesy as well, but I guess it didn't say she would die of cancer, only that she wouldn't make it....if she is even the person the prophesy spoke about.

Slightly OT question - does anyone know how long it takes iTunes to get the current episode of BSG to host after the local showing time? (or is it even related?) In other words, at what time will I be able to download Friday's episode of BSG?
I've realized the ONLY reason I have cable is to watch BSG, and now that it's available on iTunes, I'd rather just get it there (saves me $$$).
