Why no love for "Commander in Chief"?
What's the deal? Geena Davis just won a Golden Globe, the show has great ratings and yet there hasn't been a CinC thread since October! Is this not the forum for a show about a female president? Nobody watching except the Nielsen families? Are the threads hiding in the Political Forum?

I watch it every week and it was one of my favorite new shows of the fall.
I don't think it has been as good since Bochco took over. It seems like it is more about politics/world affairs, and less about personal stuff. I liked the whole contrast of how she was balancing the presidency with a family life.
Last week's Korean sub episode just seemed like an episode of "E-Ring". (I watch E-Ring as well, but I do not expect as much from it as Commander in Chief.)

Love Geena! Love the Show! Love Geena!
Geena makes an even better president than Martin Sheen. It's too bad she's as hot as she is because it's setting the bar too high for Hilary....
I like how they are very subtly hammering the point home that a woman would make SUCH a better president, especially compared to the goofball we got now.
It's too bad we can't really have an 'administration' that cares as much about the country as Geena's does. I guess that's why its just a fictional TV show.
I agree. The older daughter needs to be slapped.

From Variety:
ABC's "Commander in Chief" (2.5/5 in 18-49, 10.8 million viewers overall) continuing its downward trend, while "Boston Legal" (3.3/8 in 18-49, 11.8 million viewers overall) was on par with its recent deliveries despite the lower lead-in.

I'm still enjoying the show. I take a different view from Jadzia though, I actually like it more since Bocho has taken over. It was too much of the personal stuff. It was almost completely about politics over the last 2 parter and that's what I come for.

I picked it as the first show to be cancelled at the beginning of the season. That one or Ghost Whisperer. Who knew.

I watched the pilot, thought it was awful. Immediately took it off my Season Pass.
Too much chest puffing and "We are America, we are soooo good" crap in it. Not realistic enough for my tastes. I think I have been a West Wing fan for too long to enjoy CinC.

I had no time in my schedule to add new shows this year, so Invasion was the only one I've checked out.
But I have no interest in political based shows anyway, so wouldn't have bothered checking it out if I had all the time in the world.

Honestly? It's all the "first woman president" media crap that conveniently ignores Laura Roslin on Battlestar Galactica. I know that's petty, but it really chafes my chaps.

As someone else said, Tuesdays are already way too busy for me. When the show first aired, it just didn't really interest me too much. I like Geena Davis and all, but the premise just didn't really catch my attention all that much. As it is, I dropped West Wing a few years ago (I think the last season I watched was the one with Mark Harmon as a recurring character, and I never made it to the end of the season), which was probably why I had zero interest in another show centered around the White House.

All it needs for for someone to take up the reins and kick off a thread every Tuesday. To paraphrase Field of Dreams, "If you create it, they will post."

YET!!!!!
If Geena Davis takes a car off a cliff in the series finale, I'll go back and watch them all. Honestly, I am just turned off by Sutherland. For a strong woman in power, I much prefer Kelly Rutherford in E-Ring.

Frankly, the President is the least interesting character IMO. I find the supporting characters, including the older children (although the daughter is nothing but a whiner) entertaining.
Plus Natasha Henstridge.

I'm not really that interested in political shows at this point, but even putting that aside, The idea of a female President is a bit too hard to take seriously.
No offense, but in my mind we will never have a female President until women have the same responsibilities as men. For example - When women have to register with Selective Service at the age of 18, the same as men, and serve on the front lines in combat. Equal rights must come with equal responsibility.
