There's more changes to this show if it returns:

Steven Bochco has been replaced as the showrunner by Dee Johnson.

What seems like only half a season and three show runners? Considering Bochco drove the ratings into the ground, I guess it makes sense.

Poor Geena Davis. I've never seen a television show go through so much turnover and turmoil. If the ratings tank when it returns, ABC better just cancel this show and put everyone out of their misery.

I just wish they had kept Rod Lurie. If he had problems meeting deadlines then they should have given him an administrative producer but kept him as the creative head.

I felt duped, watching a new show and liking it and them essentially fixing something that wasn't broke.

Bizarre move. It was doing well in its Tuesday slot.

And Without a Trace too.....Yup, this show is toast. Geena Davis better start looking for a new gig. What a disastrous season.

Well, tonight's episode was okay, intertwining politics of personal destruction with plundering bills with pork barrel project riders. At least the older daughter wasn't all that annoying, compared to her actions in the past episodes. Glad Rod is moving out of the west wing, he's a drag.

Good to see it back. The show is entertaining. I loved the big F-you to the Speaker when the President used a 100% constitutional alternative (which is the way it was for well over 100 years) for delivering the SOTU.

Modern day SOTU addresses are a fucking joke to begin with.

"Commander In Chief" scored a 5.3/9 in its return, well below its average on Tuesdays earlier in the season.
"The season's number 1 new drama" in the opening weeks of the season to "canceled before May" at the end?

Yeah, I enjoyed that too.

This show really had potential.

My one gripe is the inconsistency. In one of the first episodes, didn't the Prez order the bombing of Colombian coca fields? Now, with a libertarian streak - bless her heart, she wants to end the War on Drugs?

It finished 9th in it's return last night. If it keeps this up for the next 5 weeks, it's guaranteed to get cancelled.
