Maybe it's just me, but if I were going out to probably run into the others, I would have made room in my "hunting party" for the Iraqi soldier, Nigerian Warlord, and L.A. beat cop.
But then that's just me...

Okay, I'm going to throw something out there to see if anyone else caught it...
When Zeke commanded his troops to "light 'em up" the torches went up in an even motion -- like a domino effect -- around them (starting at 12 o'clock and going both clockwise and counter clockwise to 6 o'clock).
This made me think that there aren't as many "others" as we speculate there are. Those torches could be triggered to go up, since I think that Jack, Sawyer and Locke walked into their "trap".
When their conversation was done, they went out the same way.
Its either a trick, or Zeke's "others" are a well organized and syncronized drill team.
... one more thing, how many times is Sawyer gonna get hurt/shot before he actually goes down. Stabbed in the arm by Jack, shot in the shoulder by Michael, grazed on the neck by the "others" -- he's only got 6 lives left by my count.

So does anyone have anything on the bullet burn that Sawyer got? Did it ricochet off something? Some magnetic influence? That seemed to be one of the biggest issues making their guns useless, otherwise they probably had enough firepower to handle all the torches.

Jack was born with no penis. That's the only explanation for his behavior toward Kate and Gabriela. And I'd want to bring Eko anywhere I went on the island; he clubbed 2 others to death. So he's killed as many others as the rest of the island combined.
Don't forget the Korean mob enforcer!

The confrontation scene was woefully underwritten. Instead of Jack pulling out his dick for a pissing contest, they would've been asking who what when where why and fucking how?

So who do you think Sarah was whorin' around with? Kate?

Episode kicked ass. Stupid fucking Kate not listening and and getting her ass caught, I would have said fuck it, she got herself caught (maybe, she is playing along hmmmmm....) she can get herself out of it.
I see this turning into a possible Alias, the "who is a spy who isn't a spy" type story/plot, at this point anybody could be another spy for the others. It might be a long shot, but anything is possible with this show. I mean fuck, maybe Jack is a spy with the others, who knows at this point.
Training an army, damn Jack means biz-ness!
God damn i love Lost!

Perhaps it is Jack that has the power.. after all, while he was trapped with Locke, he said "unless Sawyer comes to change bandages" and BOOM! Here comes Sawyer to get those bandages changed ... Walt schmalt - Jack is the magic one.

in relation to the record that Charlie had - it looked like the album right after had photos of the back, and was shown in a way so that you could see them. perhaps someone can screen cap those images. They have to be a clue, or a red herring to throw us off.

This show is getting old very fast. If I see one more fucking jungle chase, I swear...
Lost is beginning to circle the toilet in exactly the same way that Abrams other show (Alias) did. He's totally clueless about what he's doing and jealously doles out what little information he does have in very small doses and only when he has to. Enough already -- give us some fucking plot development.
Given his performance in both Alias and Lost, I think that Abrams is ready to join the exclusive ranks of those other reviled Kings of Mediocrity -- Brannon and Braga.

I have a theory about the LP.
Perhaps the album in question is one from a band that Charlie was a member of at one time. Would it be safe to assume that Driveshaft was not the only band he ever played in?
We also know that an upcoming episode features Charlie at a much younger age. So perhaps this was when he was part of that band.

Season 2 seems to have lost a lot of the mystery aspect of the show, but it still has its moments. It's trying to keep stuff more grounded in reality this time around, which is fine, but given the way network TV works, they're going to draw it out as long as they can. But with all that said, it's still one of the all around best shows on TV.

the album they were looking at was by an band called "Geronimo Jackson"
They just pressed one very obscure album in the mid to late 70s. We enjoy unearthing songs that are not the type of things you hear on oldies radio. They help us establish the mood and the setting; the period that the hatch was built.

Geez, all anyone does is complain around here. Same in the 24 thread. Why not sit back and try to enjoy the show? I'm gonna go hang out with my Lost watching friends who don't bitch about everything.
I realize there are things on this show that don't completely make sense, but that's pretty much every movie or show ever made. Let's try to enjoy one of the bright spots of tv today.

But seriously, I enjoy the positive and negatives comments in here. It's good to know the frustration I felt in parts of last night's episode was shared by others. It's also good to know I wasn't the only one with a little smile on my face when Jack asked A-L about training an army.

(and they do know how to get off because they had boats).
And who was the chick playing Gabriela?

Personally, unless it's sports, I hardly ever watch TV. But my father bought me the Lost Season 1 DVD for X-mas... ended up watching the whole first season in 2 days. Then of course I had to go online for all the season 2 episodes so I could get caught up. Awesome stuff. If you don't like it, watch something else.
I'm sure there's some "skating with a washed up celebrity who gained 50 pounds and got hooked on crack and then went into rehab, swapped spouses, got on diet, had a makeover, and is now making a comeback" show on.
