Skein is an industry term for series. If you read the Variety article, oddball words like this are hyperlinks. Click on them for the definition.

One can only hope that this would replace the abysmal War At Home on Sundays and create a solid 2-hour block of animation. Of course, I'd only watch Futurama and maybe Family Guy, but it'd be neat nonetheless.

You must be new to Variety's "colorful" (i.e. stupid and pretentious) use of language.

I just saw the news in some stupid TVGuide.com e-mail that I normally just trash. I saw Futurama in the subject line and was more than curious. I figured that I thread was already in progress about it since you folks never let me down.

I'm very excited by the idea since Futurama was always a consistently funny show with lots of quick sight gags. I want the show to come back and I just hope they can find a day and time for it where it doesn't get messed up by football or other stupid shit.

This sounds like good news. Too good. I'll believe it when I see it. Aren't most of the talents behind Futurama now doing other things?

I said the same thing when I first heard they we're going to bring back Family Guy. So I hope the same thing happens for you this time and Futurama gets back on the air.

Now if they'd just being back Tru Calling. That's the only show I truly miss.

I like having the complete Futurama collection on DVD. I'll have to buy more now like with Family Guy.

Yes! They brought back Family Guy and now maybe Futurama, now we can start a thread called "I hope Fox brings back [insert crappy show]".

Thats not a slam at all, its just a few shows deserve to come back, while a big chunk should never see a new episode.

Boo.
Leave these shows dead. This started with Family Guy - that was bad enough.

Fox always completely dicked over Futurama when it was on the air. It was a superior show to both Simpsons and Family Guy at the time. This is great news!

Fox had to do something to atone for bringing back FG

Such a well-written and acted show. It was funny and managed to be genuinely emotional at times without getting in the way of the humor. After they cancel Arrested Development, they'll have nothing worth watching, except for Futurama. The Simpsons sucks these days, FG was never anything special, American Dad is just BLEH (Fox giving Seth Macfarlane two shows is proof there is no God), and their non-AD live action programming stinks.

But in everyone's defense, Fox's canceled shows include some of the best tv ever to be aired, and a lot of it was never given a real chance.

This made my day. I hope they come through. Futurama was so much better than Family Guy, and now maybe it will get a fair chance.

Would LOVE it if FOX brought back Futurama. Might even slightly redeem them in my eyes a tiny bit. For all the other good shows they've shafted.

I'm going to send Jack Bauer to your house so you can tell him that in person.

You might be right if this was 2001. I like 24 and will watch it again this year, but it really is crap compared to the first couple of seasons and compared to other shows on tv it is not that good.

Viva Futurama, I have really been into it here lately on [adultswim], this is a great show.

Yeah I'm sick of Fox coming into my house and forcing me to watch these uncancelled shows.

As a big Futurama fan, I'll be crossing my fingers for this to happen.
