Dancing with the Stars - season 2

Even though it was very strange pretending their was suspense after Stacy was taken out, I still enjoyed the finale a lot. Jerry was my guy, but I am happy with the results just like they are. Drew and Cheryl did rule the freestyle, and really, a lot came down to that dance. That was when they had to TAKE it, and they did.
I think adding 3 to the finale made it a fairer mix of the fan vote and judges vote in the end which is good for the show. Even in the first season though, it seemed kind of useless to cry farce or travesty. The only thing the winner gets is the title and the ugly trophy. It's not the Olympics. Everyone wins with the exposure of being on a popular show. Stacy is a much bigger star than she was before this started, so I am sure she will be fine.

34% Jerry

In a 3-way race, winning does not mean you can assume 51% at all.

So I didn't watch S1 of this farce. How did a Playboy Playmate win S1, since this show must lean toward a female demographic? Was it solely because she was a soap-star and got the homemaker vote?

As to the episode, the producers should be shot. Halfway into the show, a 12 year old could figure out that Drew had won. Drew even hinted that he had done the math. Thank goodness for TiVo.

What a farce this show is. The best dancer finished third. Even Jerry beat Stacy. That shit was just too funny. If you want a dance contest, the drop the home vote producers and leave it up to the judges. Otherwise you get stupid shit like last night. Just listening to you guys trying to figure out the voting shows just how idiotic and convoluted it is.
The best three were Stacy, Drew, and Lisa in that order.

the only problem with this is that DVDTalk will be so littered with ugly pics (mine included) that the Feds will have to shut this site down.

aside from the butterface comment, you do have to admit cheryl's hair looks awful. It looks a lot like Uma's silly hairstyle from pulp fiction.
anyway, I really do have to wonder who are all the people voting for jerry. I've found people who've voted for every dance team - even Master P - but I can't find anyone who admits to voting for Jerry.

And by the way Master P. and Jerry Rice hung on , a certain group out there couldn't take having blacks lose out on all things dancing!

I called the winners both seasons right from the start. This show is a big joke! It was the biggest joke season 1 when ABC's "It" girl Kelly won and its another joke this season. Glad I never wasted my time actually watching this show...

Personally I'm glad Stacy didn't win. She has the most raw talent of the lot but I feel she could have done a lot more. She just didn't have enough hustle. But I wonder how much of the was her fault or Tony's. His choreography was tecnically sound but, save for a few dances, he didn't really give Stacy much of a challenge. All through this show I've been trying to imagine how great she would have been with a partner like Louie or Maksim.
I like Jerry but I don't believe he should have made it to finals (it should have been Lisa). And, though I'm glad he gave it his all (and then some) once he was in the finals, he should not have beaten Stacy.
That said, I do firmly belive that Drew and Cheryl deserved that trophy. It was obvious that they truly hungered for the title and time and time again they demonstrated their zeal through each dance. They were intense, driven and they improved each time they took the stage. And that's why I voted for them.
Had Stacy been just as driven, she would have been my number once choice to win.

If it was a true dance competition, Kenny Mayne and P wouldn't have been in the same ballroom with Stacy or Drew. It can't be a pure dance competition with that lot.

However, I would like to see a healthy Romeo (w/ Ashley) be in Season 3.
I'd like to see John Larroquette in the John O'Hurley/George Hamilton role.
... and whatever they do, they should leave Ted McGinley out of it.

As for season 3, this show lost me after this season. The retarded home vote killed any desire I had to continue watching. Although, Ricky Henderson might get me two watch one show at least!

As for the first season, I only ever saw one dance. So I have no clue who performed the best. Who was the best dancer in season one? Any thoughts?
