All I know is that I'm going to miss that girl who runs Nolita... damn, she was hot. Especially in that last episode, with the sex hair...

Think of it this way. Say you saw this hot chick walking down the street. She looks like she has a lot of potential to be by your side. So you ask her out for a couple of dates. Turns out two or three dates later you just aren't feeling it. She, by all accounts looks like she would be a great girlfriend but it's just not working out for some reason.

So you ask her to dye her hair.. put on some high heels to get a better reaction. Just feel it around and see what to improve on her to make her a better girlfriend and she's still not getting the job done.

She's not even getting you noticed by others. You thought she would be a head turner and she's not even good for arm candy to your surprise. How wrong you were. You really have nothing left to do but just cut her loose. Atleast you ventured it out with her and attempted something new.

It sucks, but hey, that's the nature of the beast. My own opinion though, it's beyond stupid to put out of context, previous season episodes of Arrested Development in that time slot. Especially a 2nd part of a two parter episode. Not even sure why they would do that.

freakin hell........if they are going to do this, why not just air back to back NEW eps of AD......or are not enough of the eps finished for them to do this for the next two weeks?

i am worried that we will never see the last 5 episodes of AD as it is. After they show 2 new episodes the next two Mondays, there will still be 5 eps of the 13 ordered left to air. when exactly does Fox plan on airing them? May?

tv.com lists 13 eps for KC. have all these been produced? I assume they have been. oh well, if a dvd set comes out with all 13 eps, i'll probably buy it. But knowing Fox they will probably spread the episodes over 3 discs, even though they could easily fit on 2 (i.e. Family Guy Volume 3) just so they can overcharge for it. Will probably do the same with this last season of AD. Charge the same price they did for Season 1 for nearly half the content.

I like your analogy, but my issue with this is that they already brought the girl around to the family (the audience) several times. They should know that at least some of the family is going to get pissed off and hold the break-up against them. The smarter move would be to keep her away from the family until they're sure they at least want to put some effort into the relationship.

I understand a network is there to maximize viewership because that will maximize ad revenue and that there are additional ancillary concerns that are related to studio politics and profits (it's better for them to keep slightly less network-profitable series a producted by 20th than to keep a slightly more network-profitable series they buy from Warners). Still, I'd have to think that alienating the audience eventually becomes a concern. I know that the cancellation of AD didn't do much to my desire to watch future Fox sitcoms, but the cancellation of KC pisses me off so much that it is very likely I won't give new Fox sitcoms a chance because I don't want this to happen to a show I get to like again. That has to be bad business.

From TVGuide.com

THE KITCHEN IS CLOSED: Ready for your daily irony supplement? In revealing that Kitchen Confidential has slung its last hash, Fox announced that starting tonight, its 8:30 pm/ET time slot would be filled by... the already-screwed (and infinitely superior) Arrested Development. But wait, there's more: Though the network condemned Kitchen, it has ordered another comedy pilot from two of its writer/producers, for a series called The Adventures of Big Handsome Guy and His Little Friend, which, contrary to popular belief, is not about me and Michael Ausiello but about real-life pals Jason Weiner and Hayes MacArthur.

That pilot must have one of the longest title in the history of Television plus it sounds like a porno.

Oh, and not that it matters, but there's a poll for KC on the home page.

Right now, 64% are upset that KC was cancelled.

No one can ever say Fox screwed AD in comparison to this show. THREE episodes and then a TWO month break and then it's gone.

Here's hoping when they release the DVD-on-TV for this show, they include the other episodes that have been shown overseas. This was a show that wasn't allowed to catch on, I found the unaired episodes (in the US) to be pretty fast-paced and entertaining.

Also hoping for the DVD release of this show.

I enjoyed this show especially the one with John Larroquette and the last episode they aired in North America with Michael Vartan as the French Chef.
