Yay! It's back!

Finally, a new episode. Seems like every time I'm ready to watch this on a Tuesday it's being skipped that week in favor of an episode of The Biggest Loser.

Happy birthday, Jesus. Sorry your party is so lame.

This episode was just flat-out awesome. Loved the final shot that Michael took. Oh damn, I was crying from laughing so hard at that last scene with Meredith.

This was the best Office episode ever. rotfl

The beginning with the awful Secret Santa gifts reminded me way too much of the people from work including Kevin and his "I got my own name, I was supposed to tell somebody, but I didn't". I was rolling. The used shirt was almost as bad as the crate of oranges that was given out a few years ago.

One time, at work, one guy brought in a toilet seat as his white elephant gift. Suffice it to say, that gift got passed around all night long.

Great episode! My group at my own office once did that "White Elephant" thing, and it severely sucked! If you get something good, someone just takes it away.

(And I just "finally" discovered that NBC has deleted scenes from the series at their website :up: )

This was a great episode, one of the best. But WTF is up with Dwigt? I don't buy that at all.

It depends on how much vodka that chick had, I guess. Maybe it was the ears...

Once again I've watched The Office, and once again I have to ask the question...This show is supposed to be funny? :confused:

I loved this one as well. There weren't as many LOL moments as some other episodes have had, but this one really captured the horrifyingly awkward moments of the original BBC series.

If you have to ask about this episode, I think it's clear you and The Office were just not made for each other. I hate that for you, but it does at least mean you have an extra half hour for whatever it is you do find funny.

I can't believe I haven't commented about Jim making his comments about the shirt to the camera with the cut right to Creed confirming his guess about the shirt's origin. That slayed me.

"Like booze ever killed anyone."

"Why'd you bring in one so big?"

"Well A, That's what she said":lol:

It was an average episode IMO, which by this show's standards means I still laughed my ass off. Dwight's "Titanic" quote and the look on his face while shooting paintball were classic. Angela is just plain creepy.

And as for the final shot, thank God this wasn't the UK version cuz they might've shown us the other side. :)

Actually, I loved it when the promos after the episode announcing that The Office was moving to Thursday nights, and they show Dwigt's reaction to seeing Jan in the parking lot.

I personally liked using the foot tub at the party and the mistletoe.

"Ho! Ho! Ho! Pimp!"

When the party planning chick broke down because Michael didn't follow rules...classic.

I felt bad for Phyllis. She must have really work hard on that over mit.

I loved Michaels explanation of reverse psychology. This is turning into my favorite season of any sitcom ever.

Maybe Im wrong, but when Jim was showing and telling the camera of everything inside the teapot, did he say...
"She put hot suace on the hotdog a few years ago. It was so funny I kept the other two packets..." He's NUTS

Nah, not nuts. Just got a hella crush.

The Office and My Name is Earl moving to Thursday is fantastic. There are only three shows I wanted to watch during prime time, and it was these two and House, which was on at the same time.

I can't believe this is the first episode of this I've seen... It was a riot.

Just like to add this was the first time I've ever watched this and I loved it. I'm real bad with catching anything but sports on TV, but The Office tonight was outstanding. I'm a big Steve Carrell fan, and wasn't dissapointed at all.

I love the fact that the iPod video was mentioned numerous times during the episode on the exact day you can now download episodes of The Office and other fine NBC shows from iTunes. Hmm....

Hell if they have to use product placement to keep the show on the air then they can have it. Even if it was product placement it was the perfect thing to use as the gift everyone would want.

Pam's comment about how it would totally change the way she works out was a little much though.

The final pic being snapped was probably the funniest thing I've seen on this show. I didnt' even see it coming.

Ok. At this point Jim needs to man up and just ask out Pam. At first, you could kinda see why he was holding back, but now... they might as well be making out in the coffee room for all the overt flirting thats happening. In the UK show, Tim had at least made a move by now. I mean, damn... if Dwight can be a player all of a sudden, Jim better take a good hard look at himself.

Oh, and is it wrong to think Angela is hot?

I got just as many laughs out of that promo as the shows themselves. That shot was histerical.

Angela is a cold hearted bitch.

Why did Jim take the card back he gave to Pam? Say something he regretted?

The only thing I disliked about this episode was Packer. He just seems like an over-the-top pointless character.

Many great lines last night:

Dwigt: "Yankee swap is like Machiavelli meets.... Christmas".

Meredith: "This is kinda my last hurrah. My New Years resolution is to stop drinking... during the week."

Ryan: "So what line of work are you in, Bob?"

In all fairness to Jim, the girl is engaged. Unless I'm mistaken, Tim made a move on Dawn twice in the UK series. Once in Episode 4, when he thought she and Lee had broken up. And the second and final time was in the 2nd season finale when he tried to keep her from going to Florida. Both times ended badly.

I don't count the Christmas Special since Dawn actually initiated the kiss. ;)


Packer isn't that different from Finch in the original series. Hell, the mistletoe gag was almost identical to the "kiss me on the nose" joke in the UK show.
