I for one liked this episode alot. It revealed more information than most of the other episode. Apart from what was already mentioned, I found it interesting that there things that the Tailies had not encountered. There was no mention of the monster or of the whispering voices. Nobody saw things that weren't there (ie Jack's dad, ghost Walt.)
I wonder if the reason that the Others didn't bother the original survivors, is because of the monster/security system. May be they are afraid of it also. That may be why they only sent one person (Ethan). And he was taking Claire back to the "safe" part of the island.
Also, did anyone notice if there was "black smoke" around the crash site of the tail section. I thought I saw some, but my picture wasn't very clear.

Is it OK to constantly bitch about the people constantly bitching about the constant bitching? Christ, people. Some of us will like the episodes. Some won't. Deal with it. Just because you liked the episode and someone else didn't (or vice versa) doesn't mean we need a page of holier-than-thou bullshit talking down to those who disagree. I know this is just an Internet message board, but I'd like to think TV Talkers have enough maturity to disagree without being so damn disagreeable.

Doesn't mean anything.
Bernard didn't land in the water.
Jack didn't land on the beach, where most of the Losties did.
Not sure where Vincent landed, but it didn't look like he had a problem.

BTW whoever was asking about the scene with Jin and Eko finding Goodwin's body... that occurred while they were tracking Michael with the rest of the Tailies were headed toward the main section's camp/crashsite. Remember? They found a body with a spear in the chest? Eko obviously recognized him as the traitor.

That gets annoying as hell.
Not everyone is going to like every episode. I think season 2 is picking up now, but was a little dissapointed earlier as I hate the episode that just retreaded the premiere and hated the Hurley episode.
Other than that, it's been a good season. Not on par with the first yet, but not bad. And Ana Lucia doesn't bother me like she seems to most.

Geez, I may be the only one who thinks this season is better than the first. They've broken out of the rut they started to fall into of Kate looking sad and Sawyer getting punched, new additions such as the interior of the hatch, Desmond, the "others" appearing more and the entire tail crew have really upped the ante on this show. I'm enjoying it more and more each week, really.

I thought for sure that after the ending of this episode that all the talk of "Ana was shooting at someone else that shot Shannon," would end. Ana shot Shannon, people. Ana was freaked out by the whispering, figuring the Others were close by, she saw someone moving through the trees and foliage and she shot. Yes, she thought she was shooting at an Other, but that's what happens when you're scared, trigger happy, and do not confirm your target. There was no mysterious Other that ran out of the jungle stood perfectly in between Ana and Shannon, yelled "booga booga" at Ana, and then pulled a Neo and dodged the bullet that Ana shot at him which then struck Shannon. You guys are reaching a bit too far. Yes, there are twists in the storyline, and yes, there are plenty of hidden meanings, but I think we're really hitting the point where some of us are digging a little too deep or a little too much. Sometimes things are what they seem.

I think that 12thmonkey's theory on Eko's background is interesting, but here's how I see it:
I think in the future that Eko will...
But that is just conjecture. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long to get the real answers.

I read something last season when they spilled the beans that a major character would be killed, they said no way it would be Charlie because he's too popular.
