Funny stuff with the suggestion box (for constructive complements ) and the Friday/Saturday confusion.

Well, I think the idea is that it's a "real life" reality show, much like Airline, and that we are watching weekly installments of this "actual" reality show every Tuesday night.

(It's a little weak given that filming the operations of an paper office would actually be a mindnumbingly dull show, so no network would really attempt it, but just roll with it.)

Pretty big drop-off from Earl though.

Another great episode.
Wait, Earl gets better ratings? Don't get me wrong I like both shows, but this show is much better than My Name is Earl. Its not even close.

I also agree they should have set up the documentary crew better in the pilot. In the British series you kind of understand more of why they are being filmed in the first place and it brings you into the story more. Its a very minor nitpick, but it is worth mentioning.

Huh? The pilots for both the US and UK series were identical.

But "Earl" has more cross-sectional appeal, thus, the better ratings.

Yeah, they were on second thought. I guess you were just more aware of the BBC documentary crew in the British series and why they were there. They are starting to play more of a role though in the US one such as pointing out the candy bar.

Sorry for bumping this, but I'm going through the episodes for the first time with the DVDs, and I absolutely lost it when Jim popped Dwight's fitness ball.

I didn't think a show could make me laugh as hard, maybe even harder, than Arrested Development, but this show toes the line.
