Come on. GO back and watch season 1! Revelations are SLOW! They have to be. The idea is it's an ongoing story, not a 24 hour movie! (Just because you can watch Season 1 that way doesn't mean that that is what it should be). Do you really want everything revealed? I know, waiting a week (or in this case 3) kills me. I felt that while the last new episode was a good one, it was a terrible one to leave me for 3 weeks (and originally wasn't supposed to). Tonight's episode SHOULD have been the one that left me wanting for a few weeks (go back and check your TV guides - it was supposed to air 2 weeks ago). I would LOVE for them to show a new episode everyday and be able to keep the story going and not have to patiently wait for the next revelation. But then what do I do on day 25? Wait a year?
Any TV show where you need to follow the ongoing episodes to keep up with the story are going to be revealed slowly. Deine Episodic serial for me. That's what you are watching. Take a show like CSI or L&O, sure, there are small things that progress that if you follow are built upon in each episode (Love stories, family issues, etc); but these are minor to the episode. In shows like LOST, 24, Alias, DHW... things happen throught the season that depend on you seeing a previous episode in order to follow. I don't tune in to LOST because it happens to be on. I tune in because I am dying to see what's next. It is insane to think that a show that stops running new episodes for a few weeks will lose much viewership. Yes, there will be some people that tune out. Producers of 24 realized this problem and start the season 4 months later in order to avoid breaks. Imagine if we needed to wait until January to see what was in the hatch!!
OH, and almost ALL shows take a December hiatus. generally 1 new episode before Christmas and the next new one the second/third week of January because of people not being home to watch. You have seen TV before, right?

As much as I like Lost I hate they way they stretch things out just for the sake of it. People dont talk about things like a normal human being would trying to find out answers, they leave you hanging so they can stretch things out for 8 seasons. They have gotten a bit better this season but I am surprised the average viewer is hanging in there.

I knew the minute the shot went off what happened. At least now there'll be some interesting tension between characters in the episodes to come, since it's obvious they're gonna take their sweet time moving the main plot forward.
BTW, while it was yet another worthless flashback, at least it received minimal screentime tonight. That's good to see.

I hated her before, but now I REALLY HATE HER. Man, I knew who was going to bite it, and I had a hunch how, but that really pisses me off...and especially with the scene directly before....holy shit.

Hello, I am a new "Lost" addict. After watching the entire first season in a few days and catching up with the recent episodes, tonight's was my first "live" episode.

They fooled us with "Which person won't make it?"
I thought for sure it was the Tail Section lady who disappeared that they were talking about in the usual TV bait-and-switch move, but then that ending. Wow.
