It will be bleeped on DVD. Bleeping it is the joke.

On a separate note, does anyone still have these episodes on TiVo/tape/whatever? I deleted my episode, but I want to write to some of the advertisers (cc'ed to Fox) to thank them for supporting the show.

Exactly! Bleeping it is 80% of the joke, just like on Family Guy. And the joke is, 99.9% of the people watching know exactly what is being said despite the bleeping.

Now if they were to bleep the whole line, then maybe the FCC would be effective in stopping the spread of this smut! ;)

Great episodes to return with. I laughed so hard it hurt.

Did anyone else notice that on the webpage George Sr. was using to find the jetpack (called, of all things, InfoMole), there was an ad on the side that said: "Watch Arrested Development! All good people watch Arrested Development and buy merchandise at www.arresteddevelopment.com"

Comfort Eagle 11-08-05 07:45 PM

Damn I LOVE this show. Both episodes were just amazing, and the ending to the second with GM fighting mole Tobias was just brilliant.

Really? I guess its time to rewatch them on my trusty tivo!

There was also a bit reminiscent of the movie Pretty Woman. Dave Thomas' character (I'm bad at the names) shows Charlize's character the shiny metal star in the box, she goes to grab it, he snaps it shut and she makes a horse-like face and a braying laugh. At least that's what I saw.

I wonder whom Annyong is working for.

Yeah, good question. But all that time in between the walls and no one has heard him? You can always tell a Milford man!

 nice.

If I ever proposed to Charlize Theron and she started jumping around for joy saying "Yes, yes!", I could die a happy man...

I didn't notice the first time, but the Popemobile George Sr. gets into actually says "Fake Popemobile" on the passenger-side door.

Chris

I've said the same thing about South Park for years. People whine about the bleeping, but it makes it funnier if you ask me. The novelty of hearing the curse word wears off quickly, but the awkward *bleep* at that critical moment is like a punchline afterburner.

He was in the walls just past where George stopped in the "next on" bit.

"Ugh, my **gs got wet!"

Since it was a long scene, I couldn't make a .GIF of the entire thing (well I could, but the file would pretty big). So here is one of a short clip of it:

Oh man, I love rewatching these...

Michael: What's she doing in the beauty pageant? She..she running the lights or something?

GM: No, she's ...in it. Sort of like an inner beauty pageant.

Micheal: Ah! There it is..

SonOfAStu 11-09-05 10:44 PM

GOB: A youg neighborhood tough by the name of Steve Holt's going to be here any minute...

Micheal: ...Your son...

GOB: ...according to him...

Michael: ...aaaand a DNA test.

GOB: I heard the jury's still out on....science.

Michael Corvin 11-10-05 07:38 AM

I loved how George Michael just hung on the monkey bars during the whole scene of Michael trying to talk him out of the army.
