Decent episode, i enjoyed it, the stripper storyline was a little over the top, but it was fun goofyness.

Clark holding the heli kicked ass.

It might just be me but its a little annoying how Clark just barges into Lex's crib and starts getting in his grill about shit, thats getting real lame. If I were Lex I would be hella pissed.

I wouldn't have mind stripper Chloe too

Mmmmmmmmmm Lois looked hawt!!!  http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...e/nicerack.gif

I will salute to that too, B-O-I-N-G!!!

If you need Lois for that type of thing, I feel bad for you.

I thought it was an ok episode. How many times have we seen the stripper in trouble plot line? It was just an excuse to get Lois into the club and that wasn't even very good.
Liked the Dukes stuff but how can Lana skip school after just starting? Didnt she miss a few days when she was a Vampire already?

Best part was the Helicopter catch and the point of view they shot it in.

Next week we get
Spoiler:
Silver Kryptonite? Is there such thing in the comics?

bigjim25 11-04-05 12:51 PM

Liked them talking about the good times they had running from the law in Chickasaw County. YEE HAW! ;)

Spoiler:

The Tursday 11/3 Smallville reunites John Schneider (Jonathan) with his Dukes of Hazzard co-star, Tom Wopat., but beyond that, the two are reunited with a car that may seem VERY familiar.

Wopat's character of Jake Jennings owns a Dodge Charger much like the one driven by the Dukes on the classic TV series. But here's some trivia you may not have known: The stunt car used in "Exposed" was actually a Dukes of Hazzard "General Lee" owned by Vancouver-based stunt man Richard Cummins. Another interesting bit of trivia, told to us by Cummins himself, is that part of the deal of using his car for the stunt is that Warner Bros. had to "put the car back together" after the stunt and in doing so, they have produced the last "official" General Lee car driven by Schneider and Wopat on television. "When the WB does it, it becomes something very special," Cummins told us.

I think that will be one of the greatest props ever. The actual last General Lee driven by both Bo and Luke

I'm in the minority but IMO, the only woman on the show Lana is hotter than is Ma Kent, and even then it is 50/50.

I liked that they have en episode where it isn't all about what Clark can do as much as it is about something that is somehwat possible in real life.

And most importantly:

The plot made no sense. Why would the stripper be calling to talk to a reporter instead of, oh I don't know, the police?

I think the stripper got run over because she was trying to run away. Although the Eurotrash guy had her picture in his closet, which would imply he had her up there, so why Lois got immediately dragged off and the stripper didn't, I have no idea.

Seemed like they (1) wanted more T&A out of Lois and (2) wanted Wopat to be a guest star. So they just shoved it in a single episode and wrote around it. Lame.

As it turned out, Luke had nothing to do with her death. He had just been in the club and was sort of cheating on his wife with her.

I doubt Johnathan could run for congress anyways. Unless someone pays for his campaign, the Kents are always on the verge of bankruptcy so he won't be funding a senate run any time soon.

It isn't Congress. It is State Senate.

He had diplomatic immunity. The police couldn't arrest him even for murder. He could just come after her later. Perhaps she wanted to expose him. Also, I might be wrong, but I believe she got ran over because she escaped. Being ran over tends to keep a person silent. The rest of the girls got taken away, so she wanted to expose what was going on. Still, having said that, she still should've called the police first then the reporter second. She didn't have her priorities in order. :)

I think Jonathan is selling weed out of the back of his barn or something...how else can he pay all those medical bills (someone's in the hospital every other week!) and for all those brand-new red trucks?!

marty888 11-04-05 03:56 PM

So far this season we've had a riff on Buffy, and a Dukes of Smallville episode - how many more TV shows will be worked into the season? South Park, anyone?

theedge 11-04-05 10:09 PM

Well, we could do a Brimstone thing, but I think that may have already been kinda done, being that Lex's dad is/was like the devil and all! :)

Count Dooku 11-05-05 12:27 AM

So after the Aquaman episode and now this episode, would it be completely out of bounds to be thinking that they made Erica Durance a regular this season so that she could do these sexier scenes.

Seems to me that both of Lois' parts in these episodes could have been Chloe stories, but they obviously aren't going to show Alison Mack in a bikini.

Daniel-A 11-05-05 01:00 AM

I was thinking that last season Dooku. They knew she would do the sexier thing as she's already been topless on film. While KK and AM have yet to be overtly sexy.

Bateman 11-05-05 01:28 AM

Anyone else get a bit annoyed how they keep refering to the charactors as minors? Just on the timeline everyone in Clark's high school class shold be about 18-19 and Lois is supposed to be a year older than them.

I take it you're referring to Lex's comment to Clark about being a minor caught at the bar? You are considered a minor, and not allowed access to a bar when you're not atleast 21 years old.

Actually your right. I guess most of the sates that I have lived in are 18 and up for those type of places so I was thinking it was a bit odd. The police officer kept refering to them as minors as well.

some places here are 18 and up, with different hand stamps depending, but those places are usually ones that serve food too and aren't just a bar
and definitely not a strip bar

Good, it doesn't sound like I missed anything.

So, I take it from reading these posts, that this ep was pretty much a "stand-alone"? Was there anything pushing the story arc forward that I would need to know before watching the next ep?

RocShemp 11-05-05 08:23 PM

Nope. Nothing at all. It was all Dukes nostalgia and Lois stripping.

As hot as she looked, I was underwhelmed by her stripping routine. Even when she got into it she didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. Still hot looking, though. And Chloe looked gorgeous in that dress.

Lex is running for the Kansas state senate, and it looks like Jonathan Kent might run against him.
Lois and her rack moved into Lana's old apartment above the Talon.
Despite their differences, Clark and Lex are both still able to walk into each other's homes whenever they want.

Slayer2005 11-06-05 02:28 AM

Also, Lois said she didn't see how Chloe fell for Clark then at the end she gave a look like she is falling for him now. I didn't notice this at the time, but someone on another forum mentioned that at the end she also called him "Clark" instead of "Smallville. Looks like a turning point for Lois and Clark's relationship.

Here's a few other things you missed besides what was already mentioned:

Girl getting MOWED down by a truck. Wow, they actually showed a girl get plowed over by freakin truck instead of doing one of those cut aways. Had to cringe at that. lol.

Chloe (after Chloe and Lois are caught snooping): "She's (Lois) here to DANCE (shoves and unexpecting Lois foward)!"

Eurotrash: Let's see what you got.

Clark ordering a beverage at the strip club: "I'll have a coke (waitress/dancers gives a funny look.)...(awkward pause)....straight up on the rocks."

And finally, you missed Clark man handling a Helicopter when he was trying to save Lois. Lois also gave a suspicious look at the rope tied to the helicopter after she was saved. I believe she glanced at Clark right afterwards too. Does she suspect something? Nah. I doubt it. :)

Anyway, are pics spoilers? I'd post them but fear the wrath of TV Talkers. Just head on over to supermanhomepage for a taste of what's to come tonight. :D

First of all, you're posting the info in the thread for the same ep, so it's all good. :)

Second, so much for getting a nudge instead of a shove. Might as well have thrown Daisy and Uncle Jessie in for good measure. Geez! The DoH stuff got WAY old WAY fast for me.

Other than that, this was a pretty cool ep. Is this the first time Lana has not made an appearance on the show? Can't remember, but since she's in the opening credits, I thought she's at least have one scene. It didn't bother me that they didn't have her on, though. The van hitting the girl was pretty well done, and a little creepy, even though the CGI showed a bit. Good stuff. Clark grabbing the chopper was really cool. Nice how all the strippers wore hotpants instead of g-strings. I've never been to a stripclub like that before. Ah well. Still a pretty good ep.

Next week:
Spoiler:

Silver kryptonite, huh? Is that in the comics? Also, the preview looked pretty freaky. Hope they pull it off well.

That was the whole point. She had never done it before. Those waiting for a strip rountine with Lois knowing how to actually strip were in for a big dissapointment.
