I enjoy all three. Caruso is actually my favorite lead of the three shows, whereas Jora Fox is the weakest link of the franchise, in my mind.

I used to love CSI Vegas, but the more I watch Miami and New York, the more Vegas falls from the top pick.

For the above poster that asked, Miami is filmed largely in Long Beach and Malibu, CA. Vegas in downtown Los Angeles and south Orange County, and New York is mainly downtown Los Angeles.

I think it's the leads. Gary Sinise is a good actor, but I don't think he has any charisma. They've lightened up his character tremendously since last season (I only watched two early episodes of season one). Melina Kanakirekidkadesees or whatever is similarly just adequate in the role - nothing unique. The adjustments make the show better, but as someone else said maybe there's just too much CSI.

Also, what about CSI's ugly stepchild Navy NCIS? I like that better than all the CSI's.

Because it's a copy of a copy.

Well, you can tell when I checked out on the series.

I also have to echo the "boring" sentiments. After the second episode I just didn't care anymore.

I watched the first 5 or 6 episodes from the first season, but stopped watching it because there was no character development. It seems like they just showed up for work and did their job. I don't know how the other CSI shows operate, but I just didn't care for it.

I stopped watching NY because of the charecters. I like Sinise but his charecter and the rest do not give me a reason to watch.

Never watched Miami.

As for Vegas I'll watch ebry now and then when I have nothing better to do. I lost interest when the charecters on the show started to become experts on everything.

I watched the first 3 or 4, and bailed, the mrs continued to watch the 1st season, but had no interest in s2, the characters don't really hold my attention at all.

I switched on the 1st 5 mins of last nights show and indeed it has lightended from the gray/blue feel.

Miami is far and away my favourite. I love the scenery, love most of the cast, wish they had killed delco instead of speedle though.

As someone who initially only caught the first few episodes and quit, I'll say my main beef was with the tone and the characters. The original tone was trying too hard to be gloomy and dark (I suppose to differentiate it from the other CSIs). I normally like this, but it just didn't work for some reason. I also didn't like most of the characters. All flat and lifeless. Watching an episode from this season I see they've rectified some of these issues and I may give it a second chance.

Actually now that I think about it, there was one key moment that lost me last season... when the latina woman built a stupid looking clay mockup of some guy for identification purposes, and the family was "Oh my God that's him!" It looked so comical and awful... I swear it was like something out of a SNL spoof or something.

^^ I can't remember if that is the one I stopped watching on, or the one where they tracked a rat down an alley. There was something about that that was extremely cheesy but for the life of me I can't remember.
