The Friday move might be a good thing, provided Fox isn't just doing this to axe it like they have with just about every other Friday show they've had. I honestly think the AD audience at this point consists almost exclusively of core fans, so I can't see there being much differentiation ratingswise no matter what night it's on. Besides. it can't do much worse than Malcolm and Bernie Mac are already doing on that night. It'll take the pressure off of AD and Kitchen Confidential from being lousy lead-ins (ratingswise) for Prison Break.

I like the idea of a Friday slot, along with Malcolm. This is the one night I have nothing set to record now that Monk and BSG are on break.

Friday nights on Fox -- what could possibly go wrong?

By the way, and thoroughly unrelated to my previous sentence, Serenity sure is a great movie!

They changed their minds. They have now changed it to Monday, NOV 7th.

Normally I'd agree with you, but the fact is this show is on the endangered list either way. I think Fox will be more forgiving of poor ratings on Friday than they are on Sunday or Monday. In this case it may buy it a little extra time.

You're absolutely right, DRG -- I'd rather have a few more episodes on Friday night than no more episodes on any night. Fox mistreated Firefly badly; they've done reasonably well by Arrested Development. I'm just angry that it looks like this great show may be dying when schlock like Two and a Half Men or Will and Grace draw colossal ratings.

I just caught the double meaning there!

I watched this 3 times before deleting it from my dvr, and I kept finding new jokes each time. I can't believe I missed the above thrice....

I rewatched this on the DVR today, and noticed that when Buster tries to give a speech for getting his medal, he pulls out a flashcard that says "And, most of all, I would like to thank Mother (choked up)."

Anyone notice when it showed Maebe's scripts, one was written by Judd Apacow? Judd Apatow is the writer of 40 Year Old Virgin, Anchorman, Undeclared, Freaks and Geeks, etc. Just wondered what was up with that.

I was saying all last season to stick it between Malcom and Bernie Mac. Much better pairing than with the Simpsons.

Just read in the local paper Kitchen Confidential is on the chopping block.

Loved the episode, but I was at least a little confused. Near the end, the narrator says Michael is trying to salvage files after the car fire. When was the car fire?

When the exploded balloons landed on it.

Judd worked on Larry Sanders, didn't he?

little off-topic but I knew nothing of Kitchen Confidential(and still don't) but from the title I thought it was another reality series.

I think that was part of the problem. I thought it was a reality show as well. I don't watch any reality shows, so I brushed it off. Fox has almost made it a game of knock-off reality shows, so this one just looked like one of those.

I could be misremembering, but didn't the opening credits list Paul Feig as the director? That'd explain it...

Ummm, so kC isn't a reality show? I've refused to watch it because I thought it was some crappy reality show about cooking or something. I haven't seen anything on TV about it, or even read anything about it.

Don't you people ever read show reviews or use freakin' Google? I honestly just don't get it. It's not like Fox was hiding the show from you.

I don't get it for a slightly different reason -- how many reality shows are in the half hour format? I can't think of many ones on broadcast networks in that format.

With a name like KC, it didn't even seem worth my time to look into. If a show ever screamed reality in the title, it's this one. I didn't even know it was a half hour, or what time it comes on, since I rarely ever actually watch live TV.

Judge a book by its cover much?

Imagine all the people out there who pre-judged AD because they thought it sounded like some sort of crappy Cops-like show where juvenile deliquents get rounded up by the police...

Yes, and that would suck. I hate reality shows that much, so when somethings sounds like a reality show to me, I don't even look in to it. If, down the road, I find out I was wrong, and it sounds like a decent show with good reviews, I'll go back and download the previous episodes, catch up, and start watching from there.

That's exactly what I did with AD and Scrubs, though not because of their titles. I just gave up on TV for a few years, and only recently returned to the fold.

I can't fault anybody for hatred of reality TV.
