Good one, that's one show I didn't think of.

I would call it a miniseries, as would the IMDB.

Ruling?

This one was a tough call, but I'd feel lost without it:

I'm glad I didn't have exactly the same idea you did because losing my season of Late Night would have been a real bummer.

Notes

Cut-off times for picks, descriptions, etc. is 9am Pacific tomorrow mornin g (10/6). The voting will start sometime tomorrow once I figure out the brackets, etc.

I consider "I Love the 80's" a regular series, since they've done several of them (not counting the other decade shows).

My ruling is that you are full of sour grapes. I love the 80s has 10 episodes; other shows, such as the Office, are even shorter. If this is a miniseries, so are all of the reality shows. There is only one season of Wonderfalls, so is that a miniseries?

Heh, after complimenting the pick, I actually have to say I consider it a miniseries. The follow-ups are more like sequels than a typical series. Best Week Ever is a series, I Love The... is a series of miniseries. But at the same time, I don't really care. I actually think miniseries should have been allowed. As for number of episodes, there have been plenty of miniseries with 10 episodes.

Look in the mirror. I'm not the one making rash accusations. Instead, I am the one who has pointed out a duplicate pick in a prior round. My interest was in getting a fast ruling on what I believed was a legitimate controversy so you could make an alternative selection as quickly as possible. Excuse the heck out of me for my concern.

Wonderfalls would most definitely not be a miniseries because there was clear intent to continue the series to a normal length. Cancellation due to ratings prevented this from happening. Other series are really tough calls if you ask me. I don't understand what would preclude a person from taking that Galactica remake that came out in a miniseries at first. It would seem to me that the fact they created regular seasons with the same cast (from what I understand -- I'm not a fan) that you'd have to look at the "miniseries" retrospectively as not in fact being one. Throw in the British show issue (that their shows are shorter in duration), and the rule is a nightmare waiting to happen if you ask me. It isn't my rule, though. The sponsor of the contest made the rule, and he has the right to make a ruling.

I am with you in that I don't really care. I have explained my motives well enough, though.

Please, gentlemen, keep it civil. Save the trash talk for the next "Reality Shows Suck!" thread.

Yeah, I put off picking it because I wasn't positive it would qualify, but I think I wanted this show more than any other.

I almost didn't enter this because I wasn't convinced I could come up with enough shows, but now I'm almost ready to extend the game & pick another 7. There are a ton of great shows left.

I totally agree on both counts. I was worried about eligibility, and I'd love to just keep picking shows.
