My Name Is Earl -- "Pilot" -- 09.20.2005

Spoiler:
An epiphany prompts a small-time crook to right the wrongs he has done in his life, beginning with a grade-schooler (Gregg Binkley) he teased.

In case you miss it, Bravo will be repeating it next Monday at midnight.

Will they repeat every episode on Bravo? That will solve my only conflict (House/Earl).

So this is going to be yet another comedy with a voice over running through it.
Along with being told when the funny parts are (via a laugh track) we also need to be constantly informed about what exactly is going on?

Yup - I'm recording both as well - will hopefully be a great hour of comedy (I know the second half-hour will).

As far as I'm concerned some of the best/unique shows on TV have a voice over/inner monologue. Scrubs, Arrested Development, Grey's Anatomy, Andy Richter, Wonder Years, etc. And there is no laugh track.

In the first episode he mentions it is around 250-260. And who says he can't screw up along the way? Do something bad to one person while helping another.

A show pimped this hard usually ends up sucking.

But Jason Lee is funny, so you can't discount that factor.

I don't really know who Jason Lee is, but I'm looking forward to watching. The commercials look hilarious, and it's been getting great reviews. Also, it has one of the hottest chicks in all of Hollywood, Jamie Pressley.

Yeah, but wait until she opens her mouth. I don't think they have shown her much in the commercials. All your dreams will be shattered.

I always thought that her name was Jamie and then in Stuff they had her as Jaime. I knew this fucked up dude named Jaime and this has shattered my dreams. I still am not sure how her name is pronounced.

And I'll check out the show.

I'm really waiting for this show to be good. I like Jason Lee since Chasing Amy, so this show should have at least something good.

I Thought this first episode was a pretty good start to a new series. My favourite bits were Earl Jr. and the flashback of Earl kicking Kenny in the groin (Yes childish but I guesss that's what I Like)

This has cemented a season long pick-up on my list of TV shows already. It's amazing.

Good lord, Earl's brother lost a shitload of weight if that's the same guy from Remember the Titans.
