24 shouldn't have even been nominated for best drama...count your blessings.

My thoughts exactly

I could only make it through 3 episodes of Medium before she drove me away.

Yeah, I agree. However, the consensus in this thread seem to feel it was deserved..

I loved this episode, it was basically the origin of House.
I was so glad that won. The best hour of television I saw last year.

I'm probably pages late, but what was Kristen Bell eprforming to Fame for? I've been flipping back n forth between it and the Fox junk. And really I love her to death. Veronica Mars rules, and she is a super hottie, but damn that was embarassing.

I thought it was very entertaining to see people like Donald Trump, William Shatner, and Kristen Bell sing. It's like the American Idol except the performers are already all well known with their own TV shows.

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING script.

Extra AMAZING for finding a way to write in Carmen Electra.

Also of note: Arrested Development writers using their speech to beg people to watch the show. WATCH the SHOW. It's on TOMORROW.

Wow, tonight's show ran just a minute over.
Something that the Academy Awards can learn.

Best win of the night for me was Felicity Huffman because I felt she got robbed by not getting nominated for Sports Night. I actually hooped and hollered when she mentioned SN twice in her acceptance speech.

Lots of gorgeous women tonight. My faves were: Charlize Theron, Kristen Bell (imagine what she would have looked like in a form fitting dress! ), Lauren Graham, Eva Longoria, and Mariska Hargitay. Edited to add Heidi Klum, Sarah Chalke, and Christa Miller cause I am an idiot.

Eva Longoria and Jeremy Piven on the Red Carpet

2 Sports Night references and a tepid response for one Charles in Charge reference.
Was flipping back and forth, kept showing weird Family Guy clips. Obvious loop lines but couldnt tell if they were made for the awards or were they real lines from actual episodes?

Seemed like Ellen didnt have good material to work with this year. None of her skits were great. All the scripted stuff by the presenters was cornier than usual. The pairings HAD to be random they didnt make any sense.

Felicity Huffman, in her acceptance speech for Actress in a Comedy Series, thanked David Mamet for putting her in his plays which led to Aaron Sorkin casting her in Sports Night and she thanked Marc Cherie for watching Sports Night and casting her in Desperate Housewives.

You could tell they were done for the Emmys.

The funniest was Comedy Actress reference:

Brian: Comedy is next.

Stewie: Oh this is no contest. Jane Kaczmerck is the finest actress in America.

Brian: Really?

Stewie: OH yes! Every week she has to go on national television, stare into the face of Frankie "Muneeze", and act like she's not creeped out of her freaking mind.

They only did the FG deal sporadically, though. Would have been better if it were for every category.

Edit: Tried setting up links to pics of Kristen Bell at the Emmy, but apparently other members are getting errors so I removed them. Sorry!

Is/Was Everybody Loves Raymond really that funny? I ask only because I've never seen an episode and from what little previews/promos I've seen, nothing has ever made even think about giving it a chance.

It's very funny sometimes, but for the most part it's leagues behind Arrested Development and Scrubs. JMHO.

I put it in the same category as Seinfeld. Very succesful sitcom that I didn't like at all.

Okay, is it just me or does it seem like they pulled all the lead actor awards out of a hate? Im mean, common Felicity Huffman! I'm sorry... but the one that takes the cake is Patricia Arquette, nothing against the woman, but her show stinks!

Felicity was in my top 2 for the category. The only other person who could have won is Marcia Cross.

I did get upset to see Mivhael Bluthe get passed up on, though.

It has its moments. The supporting characters are far more interesting to watch than Ray and his wife, though Doris Roberts gets on my nerves.
