Do I get a cookie for being the first to say that Headcases would be cancelled?

Was Girl's Club last season? If it was that's it.

If not that I think Clubhouse got yanked pretty fast.

(edit: Wow nvm. that was 2002. )

The only one-episode cancellation that comes to mind is, IIRC, the Mike O'Malley Show... back in like, 1998?

All you had to do was look at the schedule and see it was up against Lost. It makes me worry that Veronica Mars is going to have bad ratings against Lost.

Veronica Mars might actually do better this year since UPN's only hit show, America's Top Model will now be the lead-in. That show has a lot of teenage viewers who might stick around for Veronica.

I hope they will stick around, but they might tune into Lost also.

also a good sign was when cbs reaired 4 season 1 episodes in august, they actually did better then the upn airings and they didn't lose viewers after so many weeks.

UPN has stopped production of "Sex, Love and Secrets" although it hasn't officially been cancelled yet.

Good. That PoS was awful from the 30 minutes I saw of the first episode.

Hint to network execs: While many how girls may make us tuned in, they can't be in the worst show ever, or even the horn dogs won't watch.

Who would have thought Commander & Cheif and Ghost Whisperer would be thriving? I thought both of these were shoo-ins for early cancellation.

About that time of year again. I've been seeing a bunch of promos for new shows, but I haven't kept up enough to start another thread myself. Anyone more up-to-date want to start a new thread for the 2006-07 season?

We should definitely start a new thread for the 2006-2007 season.

Pretty funny to read through this one...especially for all the people who guessed My Name is Earl.

Just reread. Good stuff. Definitely need a new thread. As for my Earl prediction:

I think you are right though. Jason Lee has a charm about him/his character that might draw in some audience you normally wouldn't expect. I can't imagine it being the first show on the chopping block. I'd expect it to make it at least 'til Christmas if not a full season. This, Scrubs and the Office would make for one hell of a night of must see comedy.

Damn, Ethan Suplee has lost some weight. Good for him.
