Reunion I think is beyond awful, but it had solid ratings for its pilot episode and hits its target demographic, thus, it will easily stick around much longer than it has any right to.
My Name Is Earl was enjoyable and I predict will have a strong and loyal following. I wasn't a huge fan of the pilot, but they've got a good cast, and endless story possibilities. I'm not sure how large the audience will be, but it will certainly stick around longer than others.
Those who mentioned Kitchen Confidential and Threshold are way off base. They're two of the premiere pilot's this season. Everything just works with them. Great casts too.
The Bones pilot was "meh". Ratings will be average, but decent enough for Fox to keep it around.
Ghost Whisperer has JLH, and that alone will keep it around longer than those listed below.
As a few have mentioned, The War At Home, Just Legal, Night Stalker and Killer Instinct (which was retooled, had it's name changed, is on Fox etc.) all have pretty atrocious pilot episodes. My vote easily goes to one of them (Killer being the odds on favorite). Hopefully, none will last very long.

After watching Head Cases tonight, and seeing it stacked up against a tough schedule (E-Ring, Criminal Minds, Lost, Veronica Mars, Related - 3 new shows, but they look interesting), I'm guessing it is going to be the first show canned this season.

You guys saying My Name Is Earl are idiots. NBC has a shitload of money invested in it, and have publicly stated that it'll be kind of like a Seinfeld deal (ran for 3 seasons, blew up in 4th after slowly gaining audience).
There's no way it'll even be cancelled before the season's up. MAYBE after it's over, but it's not like NBC really has anything else to air nowadays.

Nothing to air is never a problem. Every netowrk is making cheap reality garbage that half the country undoubtedly will watch. A few seasons ago I'm sure networks would keep shows on because they had nothing else, but with the wave that is reality crap that is cheap and makes money, no network is hurting for shit to throw against the wall and checking what sticks.

The top competition right now are two Fox shows - The War at Home and Head Cases.

Head Cases will be gone pretty quick, but The War at Home has the look of a pilot that was never supposed to fly. As if everyone did it to pick up a quick check and were suprised when Fox greenlit it.
Ghost Whisperer looks bad. But JLH in HD is good for at least a half season. And it looks like the producers have already figured out how to have her in a nightie or wet shirt at least twice an ep. But if it lasts a full season, it'll need a huge revamp.

I vote for Head Cases as well...
FOX (households: 4.9/8, #2; adults 18-49: 2.7, #1) edged out NBC (households: 6.3/10, #1; adults 18-49: 2.6, #2) for a first place finish among adults 18-49 on Wednesday thanks to a new episode of "So You Think You Can Dance" (households: 5.4/9, #4; adults 18-49: 3.1, #2) and the premiere of "Head Cases" (households: 4.4/7, #9; adults 18-49: 2.4, #8).
It wasn't all good news however as "Head Cases" held just 77.42% of its "Dance" lead-in in the key demographic, all despite repeat competition on ABC, NBC, UPN and the WB (and only beating the latter two). Compared with the premieres of last year's Wednesday, 9:00/8:00c time period holders "The Bernie Mac Show" (households: 4.2/7; adults 18-49: 3.2 on 9/8/04) and "Method & Red" (households: 3.2/5; adults 18-49: 2.2 on 9/8/04), "Cases" was up 18.92% in households but down 11.11% among adults 18-49.

Just my predictions.....

AHHHH!!! I feel robbed.. we should have gone with least amount of eps shown before getting canned and not just a pure time line.. This is like we bet on the first fighter to get knocked out and what round, only to have "Head Cases" trip on it way to the ring..... and die..
Ah d'oh..
Ah d'oh..
