Reminder - The O.C. Season 3 Premeires September 8th! Spoilers + Clip Inside
Hey all...
Just a reminder that Season 3 of The O.C. Premeires this Thursday, September 8th on Fox. I havn't seen any promo's on TV for it, and since this is 2 months before last years premeire I wanted to make sure everyone knew about it. If you want to know about spoilers... Spoiler:

The OC seems like a decent series and it looks like it will have a promising third season. I believe Jeri Ryan will be a guest star for about seven episodes, am I correct? That sounds like good news, since I loved her in Dark Skies and Voyager.

Yes she is...there is a screen cap in this weeks EW. I look forward to this season as well...

Jeri Ryan will be doing a 7-10 episode stint...she enters in Episode 2. I loved her on Boston Public and look forward to seeing her. I *think

Jeri Ryan will be a great addition, as always. It's a good thing she's still getting TV gigs. I don't blame her for how awful Boston Public ended up getting, that was David E. Kelly's privilage, I wish her all the best in The OC. :toast:

I have already seen the opening episode through a friend. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but lets just say Julie Cooper is one piece of trash. Again, not giving anything away. Trust me, watching this episode you'll wish it was her that was shot and not Trey. Don't believe me? Just watch!

I wonder if we'll get to see Sandy Cohen in court finally -- representing Marissa for shooting Trey. We've seen him in his office, but to my knowledge we've never seen him in court.

Supposedly there will be a Sandy courtroom scene as well as a Sandy surfing scene.

Season 3 seems to be promising, also if you listen to any spoilers, it seems that Jeri Ryan's character is playing on the same team (if you know what I mean;)).

Well, my initial impression is that I enjoyed the first episode of the new season quite a bit. Sure it was predicable, but I think this season might be much more promising than the last.

They sure did hit the reset button for the most part by the end of the episode to clear the slate and have the "teen" characters in their place for their senior year. Last season had the 2 pairs of couple trying to stay away from each other, but this year it seems they are ready to commit to one another. Will this make it a ho-hum season? |

I'm just glad they got all of the 'who shot Trey?' drama out of the way in one episode rather than dragging it out half the season.

As for the episode, eh. Nothing really special. Didn't like Trey living. He deserved to die. It could have created an interesting void between Ryan and Marissa. They annoy me together. More correctly Marissa annoys me like ball itch. Julie is still a bitch but nothing new, there. Jimmy was a tad meaner, as was Sandy. Guess they had to pick up some of Caleb's slack. Not enough Seth. He needs his own show. Just him and his one liners. |
i wasn't expecting much, and I LOVED the premiere! If the rest of the season is anything like this episode...it could be better than the first! The secons certainly hit a slump, but this season started off with a bang, unlike last season! The O.C. definitely has it's "feel" back to it.
And what WAS with Jerry Ryan? I totally got the "single white female" vibe from her. Crazy ass. Also, Marisa was not annoying at all. And Ryan actually showed somewhat of a personality. Things are looking very promising! |
You cant have the two couples stay together..
Thats why trey was kept alive..to provide spark down the road.. and lets not forget whats her face just moved away..with caleb dying she might come back to complicate things for ryan and marissa. |
I actually wasn't too fond of the episode. I like a better balance of comedy and drama from the OC, and this one was too heavy on the drama. I will say that I'm glad they wrapped up the Trey storyline, and finally pushed that reset button. Now let's hope it returns to season one form.

Could someone do me a HUGE favor and fill me in on what happened the first 5 minutes of the show? I thought i had it tivo'd, but it wasn't taping when i looked at the tivo (red light wasn't on), so i missed the first 5 minutes.
