8/21/03 - Season Finale

I find Jon and Kelly and the nicknames that Kelly comes up with for the other teams so funny. She's nicknamed half the teams for us, so we didn't even have to bother coming up with our own in those old TAR threads.

I'm just starting this season now on my Tivo. I've been too busy to watch them.

Jon and Kelly just crack me up. They have fun with the race, and their cattiness reminds me of my friends from college. We had nicknames for everyone so that our coversations were like talking in code. If I were to ever be on TAR, I imagine that I would be like Kelly and Jon, thus they are my favorite team.

From this point on, I really can't remember how the teams finish and who gets eliminated (other than knowing the winners). That makes it a bit more fun.

This must be a relatively boring season, as this thread does not seem to be getting as much discussion as the other TAR/GSN season threads.

Either that, or people are having a hard time keeping up with the hour a day repeat schedule. I know we went out of town at the end of July and it took forever to catch up.

I am glad that season 5 will be shown before all the new fall shows start up. I started watching TAR with season 6, so after 5 airs I will be all caught up.This will free up lots of TV time.

Or maybe this is the season a lot of people started watching? Season 4 is my first, but I want to rewatch all of them.

Those clown dudes are hilarious I really hope they win. And damn this show has been alot better than the last. That **** Flo really sucked out this whole show for me watching her last season. She made me physically sick.

Also those gay married dudes seem fake. Like theyre actors or something. I dont think theyre really gay. Expecailly when comparing them to other gay couples that have been on. Now those two buddies and that one thats always smiling; they seem gay! lol

I laugh very time I see that opening credit squence with them surfacing out of the pool together. They look like a couple of trained porpoises.

I've been losing interest with the 1 showing per day, I tend to leave it on in the background now, whereas the 1st 3 seasons, I was enthralled, I think it is a somewhat boring season.

Was that Kelly after the fish jumped out of the basket? I like how she tried to sit in the basket to prevent further fish from escaping.

I thought it was either Chip or Reichen when the clowns ran past them right before the pit stop.....

I don't think I have ever been more disgusted than during the live octopus eating. When he mentoned that the tentacles were attaching to his teeth.

This season is almost over and I am still not that into it. Definitely the worst one IMHO. I am not really rooting for anybody. I am not really roting against anyone either. I am just kind of meh about all the teams.

Looking forward to Season 5, then I will be all caught on on TAR.

That was a couple of hard tasks in the last 2 eps, and with the pressure of not knowing you were last or not.

Forgot how extremely disappointed I was when the Clowns were eliminated -- bad bad decision to not double check for a better flight.

IMO, I'd rank this as third best of the series (TAR5 being #1). But I definitely hate the team that wins TAR4.


The way GSN sets its commercial breaks during its TAR broadcasts is quite annoying. Has GSN been airing these unedited for new viewers? I might go and check my discs when TAR5 reairs to see if there are any differences between the CBS and GSN broadcasts.
