According to Kristin at eonline, MLP is not happy on the show and wants off of it. She didn't say this directly (she said it in a blind item but she later pretty much said it was this show), but it was due to the poor writing, according to her.
I like the show as well, but wouldn't be too upset it is didn't come back.

I also caught it on my friend's ondemand service, and I'm glad I did. I thought it just kept getting funnier and funnier.

WEEDS song in commercial
I'm trying to find out the name of the song that is played on the WEEDS commercial. I have checked out the WEEDS web site (http://www.sho.com/site/weeds/music.do) which lists a lot of the music from the show but does not feature the song from the commercial.
does anyone have any idea?

Does anyone know when Season 1 is supposed to be out on DVD yet? I'm really looking forward to it. Also, in case you didn't know, Season Two has the green light, so more goodness to come.
I was just thinking of the Episode where Doug and Andy are trying to catch the rat in Nancy's house while really high, hahaha.
"Somewhere along the line I got derailed and became a bean counter... with no hat... no hat... no hat".

Thanks, 'burger3. I wasn't able to finish the show during it's initial run - can't wait to finish the season.

I forgot I had this series in queue to watch. I watched the first episode on Wednesday, 2-7 on Thursday and 8-10 on Saturday. I love this show! It reminded me a little of American Beauty, which is one of my favorite movies. The ending was excellent, it made for a nice ending to the series if it had ended there but also setting up some big changes to come if they had renewed (which they did, yay!). When the last episode ended I was going crazy wanting more.. it's going to be a long wait. I can't wait for the DVD.

I just plowed through all 10 episodes and I am in love with this show. I'm a big fan of MLP, but she just shines on this show, and the supporting cast are hilarious! I am addicted to the show and can't wait for the dvds and season 2.

I love the scene in S1 show #3 where Doug is told that his name is probably sitting in a database somewhere due to his getting a medical marijuana prescription.
"I'm in a database? Does anyone know a good hacker?"

Got the S1 BD from Netflix yesterday. The Amazon reviewer who says the BD looks like shit was dead on even though he got flamed. Might as well have gone with the library's SD copy. Hopefully S2 BD is better quality. 1:54 in out of 4:43. Looking to finish by Monday. The series itself is great, and great to see Denny from GA even though it was only two eps
Still hot/cute as usual. The brother annoys me.

S1 all finished
Netflix has Weeds S2 Disc 1 on a wait so I'm stuck until that ships who knows when
I'll have S2 Disc 2 tomorrow but I really want to watch it in order.

Wow, long time since I made this thread. I love remembering back to the day I posted it, and thinking about how different my life was back then. I'm happy to report that 2005 was a fantastically awesome year, and Weeds Season 1 was excellent television.

Huff is amazing too--Showtime is in top form this season with these two shows. Weeds is what Desperate Housewives *wishes* it was... and Huff is the best family-relationship drama on the air right now, and hilarious too, covering the full range of comedy-tragedy better than anything since SFU at its peak.

Huff was such a great show. I was really pissed they cancelled it, and I'm sure you were too. In retrospect, Weeds turned out so horribly over the last two seasons, that I would have preferred Huff stay on the air, and Weeds get cancelled. Huff season 2, as I remember, had quite the conclusion. Season 4 of Weeds seems to be showing some promise, so I hope my thoughts change.

I AM watching the first six eps of S2 through WIN since the BD is not available, and I'll pick up in the 2nd BD of S2 and then BD for S3.

Question from the first two seasons:
Thanks!
Just two more eps to go and I can back to captions. Whew.

Anyone have the answer to my question above?
I'm starting episode 8 of the third season. Love it so far! The show just keeps getting better and better.
