Looks like she made the first move, filing for divorce from him:

'Princes of Malibu' wife files for divorce

Friday, July 22, 2005 Posted: 1222 GMT (2022 HKT)

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Linda Thompson, who stars in the Fox reality show "The Princes of Malibu," has filed for divorce from her husband and co-star, composer David Foster.

Citing reasons that "will remain personal and private," Thompson, 55, said in a statement Thursday that "it is important to remember that real life is not to be confused with art or entertainment."

"The Princes of Malibu" follows the lives of Thompson's 21-year-old and 23-year-old sons Brody and Brandon Jenner as they frequently clash with their Grammy-winning stepdad.

The couple's 22-acre Malibu estate, featured prominently in the show, has been sold and the profits will be divided equally, according to court papers.

Thompson, a former Miss Tennessee who was previously married to Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner, filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court on July 11.

Stupid show ruined a marriage....Can't blame David Foster for being pissed now. Now, he can really tell his 2 stupid (former) step sons to beat it!

that would be a great show.. "The Divorce".. Foster telling off the kids... Telling stories of infidelity (or whatever broke them up)... The wife smashing Foster's grammys.. Splitting up the house/cars/planes

Why did FOX cancel this? It looked like it was going to be so funny. Going to Vegas, meeting celebrities(Celine Dion). David Foster yelling at those thug looking guys on his propery "This is my property....get the F off". Also, that "upcoming" episode which showed david calling a bricklayer to build a wall where his sons door was, looked like it was going to be good. How the hell did this not go anywhere?

Dammit .....First Skin and now this

The show must have had awful ratings. What other reason would there be?

It's David Foster, I don't know why? I have been a HUGE fan of his for awhile now, so I'm surprised this failed. David Foster is known as Midas in the indutry...everything he touches turns to gold(or in this case platinum). Although, he didn't have any involvement in this, so I don't look at it, as his failure but FOX's.

From the Futon Critic website:

THE PRINCES OF MALIBU (FOX) - The Fox Reality Channel has snagged the rights to the short-lived FOX series, which was pulled after just two episodes last week. It's understood the remaining four episodes will air on the cable sibling in the show's old Sunday, 8:30/7:30c slot beginning this weekend (July 28th).

Yeah!! It got canceled

This is Fox at it's best - just another horribly scripted show.

Like when he was calling the credit card companies to cancel the credit cards.. just when they happened to be at Nobu... and they could only come up with $11 for the bill. -Man was that ever funny, that father had some great timing..realy taught those kids a lesson-

RIP

Far be it for reality shows to use editing to show actual events out of sequence for effect, or use contrived situations to generate drama or comedy. Name one that doesn't.

I'm not really into defending this show, but I will probably watch the rest of the series eventually. It puts it in a new light on it to know Foster and Thompson split soon afterwards.
