Favorite Stephen King TV-Miniseries?

A number of Stephen King miniseries have been produced for TV over the years, so what's your favorite?

I haven't seen all of these but of the ones I've seen, I like "The Stand" the best. Even have it on DVD.

The Stand was great. Everyone was talking about it at school the day after Part 1 aired. That had an awesome opening, with "Don't Fear the Reaper" playing over those shots of the bodies, the military shooting Kathy Bates, all those dead people in the Lincoln Tunnel...really chilling (but fun) stuff, for a made-for-TV miniseries.

My favorite by far is IT, followed by The Stand and the original Salem's Lot. I also remember liking The Tommyknockers, but it's been years since I've seen it and maybe it wasn't that great after all.

The Stand - the one I voted for.
'Salem's Lot - the original
Storm of the Century - really thought this one asked a hard parental question, not sure if there is even a correct/good answer.

It, followed somewhat closely by The Stand. But for the record I don't like any SK mini's all that much. Even those two that I like "the most" I never felt the urge to buy on dvd.

I voted for Kingdom Hospital mainly because being a huge von Trier fan, and a fan of the original "Kingdom", I thought I was going to totally hate it, but ended up actually enjoying it.

The kid's half of It was really excellent. I didn't like The Stand, but areacode212 reminded me that the first part was outstanding. The Don't Fear The Reaper opening is probabley the strongest start to any made for TV thing I've seen, and the Kathy Bates radio sequence was really intense.

It, simply because it has stuck with me the longest. Tim Curry is awesome in that. All of the touching and hugging got old quick, though.

Tommyknockers was good as well.

I'll have to go with "The Stand", just for the fact that I didn't care for the ending of "It" very much.

The Stand followed closely by the Shining. The Shining is a treat to those that read the book and were still awaiting something faitfull to come along to replace that p.o.s. movie.

It's a toss up between the Shining and Rose Red IMHO.

Yeah, I thought that the rest of the miniseries wasn't as strong as the first part. The characters and their little conflicts didn't hold my interest as much as seeing society breaking down from the plague.

Also, until Will Ferrell came along, I always associated "Don't Fear the Reaper" with that scene.

And don't forget when they introduced Miguel Ferrer's character to the music of ZZ Top's "Sharped Dressed Man".

Plus, this was the last thing (the only thing?) Rob Lowe was good in.
