The last ten minutes in HD from my affiliate had an interesting new twist: the top half of the picture was black, while the bottom half was fine. I've never seen that before.

Awesome! I'm getting a new recliner chair on wednesday and I cannot think of a better way of breaking it in than sitting on my ass for 13 hours straight. Now if only I can think of a way to mainline grape soda, salsa, and doritos.

This new season totally snuck up on me. Thank god for summer seasons. I just hope they don't break it up like they do SG-1 (half the eps now, half the eps 6 months later)...though I think they will to milk the show a bit.

This is the Sci-Fi channel we're talking about here. Both SG1 and Atlantis are broken up, I'm sure the third show of the night (BG) will be too.

I'm OK with that, each run has almost as many episodes as the first season.

pilot: have you heard anything on Ron Moore continuing his podcast commentaries for second season?

Will Season One be on DVD anytime soon, or are they planning on releasing it with Season two?

Season 1 will be a Best Buy "exclusive" for about 2 months. I think it comes out in a week or two.

Edit: It's being released on 07/26

Comes out 7/26 at Best Buy; other stores will have it on 9/20. It'll be $49.99 at Best Buy.

Man I really wish I could watch new episodes in HD instead of having to watch the repeats on Universal HD.

Maybe I should of phrased it as "I wish they wouldn't". BSG is one of those shows that I cannot wait to see what happens next. I'm just impatient.

I do admire how they pack a lot of meat into each episode. There have been plenty of times where I would look at my watch to see if the ep was about to end only to realize that I had another 20 minutes to go.

I am a huge fan of this show and I would suggest to anyone who hasn't seen it yet to watch everything leading up to season 2 before actually starting to watch it

with this show it's very VERY important to watch everything in order. Just my two cents.

Watching this version tonight reminds me of one thing: me really like Katiebuck!!!

Cool. Only problem I see with that theory is...

Spoiler:

How many models have we had now? They said at some point in the first season that there were only 6 or 7 human models of Cylons. We've had number 6, the first wormy spy guy that they left on that planet, the crazy dude that they shot out the airlock, and Lieutenant what's her name. (Sorry for the vague names ) So there's only two or three left. Don't know if they will want to use guest stars for those or not. Maybe.

There are only 12 Cylon models, according to the note Adama got in the first season. So if you take out the ship, and the large attack guys, that leaves 10. Of those 10 we have seen 4 or 5 Human models so this leaves another 5 or 6 models.

Here is a old thread, with pics of the note and human model cylons.

I interpret that note to mean that there are 12 HUMAN Cylon models. So if we have only seen four, that still leaves 8 that they can play around with throughout the series.

Even though the note clearly states "Threre are only", I take this to mean that there are only 12 models and not only 12 human models and unknown other models. Remember no one has seen a Cylon in 40+ years. No one has any clue what they look like save the old Red-eye model.

Sorry, I don't see it that way. Why would they care about the non-human models? It is the human cylons that are the big worry/mystery. Taken in the context of what is going on in the episode, it seemed obvious to me that they were talking about the human models. Someone was letting Adama know that he was going to have to watch out for twelve different "people".

Debate all you want, but the show has been ambiguous about this, so we really don't know yet. However... Knowing how TV shows usually resolve ambiguous plot points--in whatever way will give them the greatest flexibility--I'm guessing that if this is ever explicitly resolved on the show it will be to allow the largest number of guest stars possible, e.g. 12 human models...

Either way, I hope they do not use guest stars in the other human Cylon roles, this will mean we will only see that Cylon once or twice.
