We are. It was on Time Warners Website. The ONLY new channel I've ever seen them promote. Channel 155 I believe. Just barely past all the christian networks...which I find hillllllllllllarious.

I read the title right, but figured it was an all-NASCAR channel.

I thought that was what Trio, Bravo, the Lifetime network, HSN and Oxygen were.

Did anyone happen to watch the launch? The network has already exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised hearing 'Deceptacon' by Le Tigre for one of the LOGO commercials and even more surprised (And happy!) that they played Sleater Kinney's 'Entertain' video. I already feel a connection to the network. I work at mtv networks and it has been interesting the past couple of months to watch this network unfold. It's been such an uphill struggle for everyone working on the network and I applaud them for their efforts. My boyfriend and I watched tonight happily on the couch - and it was definitely a moment I will never forget

Anyone know if DishNetwork is/will be carrying this? I see on their webpage they are showing Wonderfalls - would love to catch that!

I caught a little of it while I was flipping around last night. There was a Melissa Etheridge concert, obviously filmed before she had cancer, and it was pretty good. I also liked the little Gay History cartoon fillers. I decided to pass on "Can't Stop the Music", not because I had no interest in a bio-pic of The Village People but I'd already seen it in the '80s.

So far, it's not the worst channel on DirecTV. Not even close. I believe that distinction might go to RFD.

Okay, yes DirecTV is carrying it. Channel 263. No, Dish Network is not carrying it yet. Local cable companies are on a case by case basis (mine is not carrying it).

Looks pretty cool so far. Tivo'd that "gay in the media" documentary, that looked interesting. Some cool movies coming up. A gay travel show that looks interesting. I'll probably have to Tivo Wonderfalls since I never saw it when it was on.

Anyone know if the channel is censored? Are they bleeping bad words from the movies? Just curious.

Lots of repeats coming up but the programming they previewed looks very interesting. Caught the special on TV shows with gay followings last night and that was really good. Looking forward to the rest...including the GLAAD awards! A little bit annoyed that they're looking back on 15 years of them with a 30 minute special. I think this deserved an hour...no?

Well at least it's working for you guys. I had to call up Charter and say "My big new homosexual channel isn't working! *pout*" They say they fixed it, but I won't know until I get home from work.

Comcast deal signed...

PHILADELPHIA, and NEW YORK, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast , the country's leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services, and MTV Networks, a division of Viacom Inc. , one of the world's leading creators of programming and content across all media platforms, today announced that they have reached an affiliation agreement for Logo, a new network from MTVN offering entertainment programming for the gay and lesbian community. Under the agreement, Comcast will add Logo to its Digital Plus cable package in select markets over the next 90 days.

In addition, markets launching the Logo digital cable channel also will have 10 hours of Logo's programming available on Comcast's ON DEMAND video-on- demand (VOD) service. Additional details of the agreement were not disclosed.
Seems like the peices are falling into place pretty well... Which is a relief after waiting through years of false announcements and stalled launches...

I haven't seen it, so I can't comment on that. I will say that I find the "Big Joe Polka Show" derivative and plagued by abysmally sub-standard production values. A huge disappointment for any true Polka aficionado.

Back on topic: There are some good movies on Logo, and what I've heard and read about their upcoming original series sounds interesting. As for the question of censorship, I did notice the F word being bleeped, so I guess that's a yes. Still, all in all, I think it's a very good channel with a nice blend of information and entertainment. I hope it does well.

Okay. We got our cable bill a week or two ago and it said that VH1 Hits will be taken off and Logo put on. I didn't know what the hell Logo was, but I was kinda pissed that VH1 hits was being taken off (as they play more modern rock than that (c)rap-fest MTV Hits does.)

But now they take off VH1 Hits - and don't even put Logo on.

So I have one channel taken off and nothing to take its place.

It says I have to order it - but I have most of the channels already - why not get this?

Stupid cable provider.

Anyone catch the travel show? Pretty good for 30 minutes. Could those correspondents be any more...ummm...well...let's just say my TV was ridiculously WARM when that was over. Just a bit all over the place. I felt like they were my "big gay tour guides."

Want to catch the Scott Thompson show because that looks good. Did it start yet?

We got this over the weekend and I enjoy it. Hope the expand their programming over time.
Caught a interesting documentary about gay characters on TV and other shows that gay people can identify with. Also tivo'd Testosterone and...Cant Stop the Music which was really really bad.
I'm going to watch the travel program about Paris coming up since I am going to be visiting in August.

I watched the Amsterdam one, and found it completely useless. Here's what I wanted to know about Amsterdam:

Rundown of the coolest gay bars
Reviews of the bathhouses
Tour of the sexclubs
Other gay hangouts
etc...

But what info did we get? 15 minutes about some freaky looking performance artist, info about 1 hotel, and 1 bar. How exactly is that helpful?

Are these shows made for logo, or are they starting by taking shows created for other networks with a gay angle?

The "original" shows are being created for Logo...like the travel show. Some specials were created for other networks (like Nick @ Nite) but that's only because they're new. Eventually, there will be more original programming.
