"24" Movie in the works

I know it would piss some people off, but they should do it like the X-files. Have the season run like normal but leave it at a cliffhanger that will only be solved in the movie. Use the season as a lead in. They could have some resolution in the 24th hour, but throw a curveball in the first 5 minutes into the movie.

Overall though I still say this is a pretty lame idea.

A '24' theatrical film won't work because the tv show has been so good and it's been free (don't rationalize that cable, satellite, etc... costs xxx $ too) and there's no way I'm spending $8-10 just to hear Jack Bauer curse. There would have to be some serious nudity involved and that would probably take away from the drama so stick with what works...tv.

According to the latest issue of ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY, Bruce Willis' upcoming 16 BLOCKS is a "real-time" motion picture.

1. That is a piss poor analogy if I've ever seen one. If there was news of a Sopranos movie (with no details) you wouldn't have the slightest inkling of people posting about what it might be about? What the hell is everyone going to post about? After 5 years of plots and characters, there is bound to be speculation about who and what will be in the movie. Same with 24. Just because you are 2 years behind would you not expect to see some spoilers? Come on. It has nothing to do with common courtesy on our part, it has to do with common sense on your part. Especially since 24 is probably the most popular show on this board, looking at thread longevity and # of posts each week.
2. There are, wait for it, exactly ZERO spoilers for season 4 in this thread, unless you count the fact that you know Jake makes it to Day 4, so I don't know what you are complaining about. There is a mild spoiler for season 1 in this thread and 1 spoiler(pretty big one) for season 3 in here as well. I guess the big one is what you are referring to and that aired in May 2004, over a year ago.
But maybe that is just me.
Jack Bauer rocks!
