All signs point to yes.
They've got some of my favorite babes in their new shows: Obradors, Gail O'Grady, Sophia Vergara, and Julie Ann Emrey.

And someone at the network must be tired of Jennifer Garner and Alias, because the only move that could possibly be worse than what they just did would be to move it to Friday or Saturday night - eh, maybe not, it's pretty much fucked where it is.

I'd say that move will be the death nail for Alias. Competing against Joey and Survivor, and it doesn't have the Lost lead-in. Anybody know if they are planning on doing the same thing they did last season with Alias and wait until January to start?

One note: Grey's Anatomy will have a 26-episode run next season. They held back 4 from this season because heaven forbid you run new episodes in the summer.

Yeah, things look bad for Alias . It's kinda amazing to see it reach a fifth season though after even its first season put it on the bubble. I do hope it goes out with a great season.
As for Wednesdays, it will be interesting to see if Invasion is any good. I would love to see another Sci-fi show on a major network. Unfortunately, it will probably be cancelled within weeks.

Maybe not, but with Lost at 9, they could put anything in the 10 pm slot and probably do better ratings there than they have in years. The question is how lofty will ABC's expectations be for Invasion. Very high I would imagine since they apparently expected Eyes to be a force with a mediocre-poor lead-in vs 2 established hits.

I'm interested in some of the shows, but the scheduling baffles me. Sucks about Alias. Not just because it's a death slot, but also because it'll make Thursday a three shows at once slot. Same deal with Night Stalker, which is one of the few new shows announced that actually sounds interesting to me. I realize they think they have a shot at making a run for Thursday, with Joey not being the major ratings powerhouse Friends was, Will & Grace in its last season, and Apprentice starting to stumble. They're also probably predicting that CSI will start to weaken soon. But unless they made a major move, like send Desperate Housewives or Lost to that night, I just don't see it happening.
Invasion has piqued my interest, but I'm highly skeptical it'll actually be any good (or be good for the long run). But then again, I thought the same thing about Lost and that turned out well.

I don't believe they think they have a shot on Thursdays at all. Alias is not a particularly strong show to begin with, ratings-wise, so there is no reason to believe that a shift to Thursday is an indication that ABC thinks they can make inroads there.

So did ABC drop "Extreme Makeover"? The plastic surgery one, not the home edition one. I didn't see it on the schedule. I always found it funny that the spin-off show was much more popular than the original show.
I guess when any of these shows get cancelled they'll also stick in more "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition-- How'd They Do That?" episodes.
I think it is smart to move Supernanny to an 8pm slot. That seems to be a popular show for families to watch.
Agreed that Alias is now dead. For everything ABC did right this season, they certainly did not learn any lessons did they? They would be better off putting Alias on Wed at 8pm, before Lost. Then use Lost as the lead-in to the 10 pm show.

Also I don't think is a good idea on their part to put two of their strongest shows on Thursday night.
