I agree. I saw last night on an unofficial poll of Fox News that 96% of America thinks that celebrities take weight issues too seriously. I can't help but wonder if the 4% that don't all live in California.

What I am saying is that alot of people want young, pretty and perfect ladies. Look what happens to most women that start maturing and do not have the "youthful" look anymore. The movie studios stop knocking at their doors and they start being dog on forums.
I have a wife and a daughter, and it is sad when I see the world (TV, print and web ads) throw at them what they should look like. You never see an normal looking person pitching some product (shampoo, soap, cars, clothes...), you always see the perfect person - beautiful and young. My family and I always laugh when an 18 year old does a shampoo or skin care ad. Their hair or skin looks perfect becuase they have not reached the age when they really need the product. How about a 45 year old lady doing the hair commericail, now that would be great if she has long, flowing and shinny hair.
Sorry for the rant, but I do believe Hollywood is giving us just what we want. What will sell more tickets, an overweight Lohan or a perfect one?
Just read some of the post in this forum talking about actresses that are "Over the hill" and I think that will give you the answer to question above.
