Actually, his ranting is what causes me to tune out 90% of the time.
I'm a huge Stern fan, but even I get sick and tired of hearing about how the establishment is trying to bring him down, and how he thought of something first only to have it ripped off by someone else. It gets real old, real fast, and I don't think I'm alone here. I can't imagine even the most die-hard Stern fan enjoying that shit day in and day out.

Yeah, HBO probably wouldn't do an everyday show, Spike would, they need it and have better lead-ins with wrestling and all CSI reruns. But they will probably still edit it, maybe not as much tho.

I don't think spike will be any different than E! (and by the way, they are both not free TV either, as ya have ta pay for basic cable, but I know what y'all mean
)
I think he HAS ta keep his show on some channel for those who won't get Sirius, as he goes from 6 mil listeners (est. i heard somewhere) to less than 1 mil (as not ALL Sirius subs will listen) The 5 mil displaced listeners may still want to see what he is up to, and even a lil half hour show would be better than nothing. And talk about advertising! They could take the best of the Sirius channels and cram it into the show, thus making people want to get Sirius.
And as far as Sirius and XM go..I think the odds on bet is that they will merge eventually.
Listening to Howard as I type this. It's time for Robin's news. Still good stuff.

Stern used to rule - I still occasionally pop in those old WWOR tapes from the early 90's. Now he's a parody of his former self. All his television exploits since that original show have paled in comparison.

Maybe not Spike TV either. From tvguide.com:
I can see good (nudity) and bad (ppv and availablity) in this. Availability is no biggy to me since I have Comcast.
As the shock jock Howard Stern's January 2006 debut on Sirius satellite radio draws nearer, there is talk that he will not move his companion television program to Spike TV, as has been rumored. Instead, he may strike a deal with Comcast Cable to distribute the show on a video-on-demand basis, TV Week reports. While this would require Stern fans to pay twice (for Sirius and VOD subscriptions), it would solve the problems of broadcasting nudity (E! pixilated such images when it carried the program) and a lack of advertiser support. Asked to comment on the rumor, a Scores stripper said, "Like, wow!" then asked that we give her a $20 bill.

That would suck,how ironic would it be that when he moves to satellite radio,the people with satellite tv can no longer view his show...

Moving to VOD is a terrible idea. He's alienating about 3/4ths of his audience, most of which isn't the East Coast.
