My opinion of Rob changed when he left the cameraman for dead on the side of the road.

His 'They're so stupid' remark was the final straw!

I noticed that as well. And a scraped head and no prize to go with their non-existent lead from the fast forward.

If Geezer Man and the Master of the Obvious had picked that task she would have rattled off those columns like a ball bearing in a pinball machine. The carnage would have been horrific.

Well, Uchenna essentially walked them through this leg, and it looks like he walks them through the next one as well. At least he locks up no worse than second place if he carries them to the final three I suppose.

It's funny that Rob's joke comment to Gretchen (about the earlier flight) was the only reason that the others searched enough to find the earlier flight, and it is no doubt the ONLY reason Team Geezer didn't lose another couple of hours in the standings and their meager posessions with yet another last place finish. But Gretchen will still shriek and moan about "you know who." Dumbass.

Yup, but I would take everything in that 5 star hotel room that isn't bolted down i.e. soap, shampoo, robes, everything and try and sell it later.

But he's right. U & J and blind luck are the only things dragging the Bumbling Leathernecks through the race. Rob is 10X the racer of anyone else competing. He asked the right questions, but got burned by "who gives a crap, I'm working nights" travel agents. He got bad info from lazy people.

All due respect...

Is it me, or does EVERY romber hater come off like a whiney little cry baby, whether here or on the show? He's the best player out there just like he was the best player on Survivor: All-Stars. When he wins this thing you haters could all gather at Alex and Lynn's or Meredith and Gretchen's house for the candlelight losers vigil.

Team Polished Dome stepped up their game recently, but it's gonna take a fatal Romber mistake for them to do better than 2nd.

Is it just me, or was anyone else shocked that no teams forgot their gnomes anywhere? There was a couple of lingering camera shots on the gnomes a couple of times after the teams had picked them up (U&J and M&G especially) that made it seem like the gnome would be left behind.

I didn't see U&J carrying the gnome throughout the last couple of tasks, so I was convinced that they had forgot him in the trunk of the cab (there was a bit of a long camera shot there as well). I figured that when they checked in, Phil would make them go back for the gnome.

I also thought that Meredith was going to forget his bag since the camera seemed to stay on that scene a little too long as well, when he and Joyce tossed the bags on the step. I can't remember exactly when this was, but I think that it was after they were let in the fortress.

I am glad that next week's episode is not the season finale. I guess the one after that one is?

I agree, movieking, I thought for sure somebody would forget their gnome. Until I realized: they weren't lingering shots because somebody would forget them, they were lingering shots to extend the Travelocity commercial time.

Rob's messing backfires. He won't be doing that again.

It'll be very interesting to see who the three teams racing to the finish will be after next week's elimination!

I didn't think this was a bad episode. Still, the whole thing hinged on Rob being hoisted on his own petard.

Is a two-hour finale still planned? Will next week's episode be an elimination round?

Although it was pretty much a given that last night episode was a non elimination, it was one of the funniest episode so far for me.

- The constant grumbling and stumbling of Meredith and Gretchen. Not being able to find the clue box, not being able to find the man with the scales, the constant "screeching" of Gretchen, Gretchen climbing the ladder. Gretchen speaking Spanish (grande) in Istanbul
- Nice edit of the producers to show Rob making the comments about G&M, J&U "about the blind leading the blind" and they end up getting ahead of them. I agree with earlier posts that the only reason that G&M came in second was because of J&U help.
- Kelly Didn't you watch Bambi when you were a kid? Don't you remember what Thumper mother said to him? "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say nothing at all". What a gal!

I believe there's only two episode left. Next week will be an elimination round and the two hour finale, the following week.

Yep. It was pretty much a stroke of luck for the Baldies and the Geezers. They were informed of an earlier flight while the others weren't even though they asked the same question. I also think that, with such a long layover, those 2 teams would have still looked for better flights even without Rob's comment.

Regardless, this episode was very lame because they spaced out the non-elimination legs poorly. There was no tension because you knew that the last team was not going to be eliminated. There was no challenge to the detour either.

I find it funnier that the only way U&J and M&G got ahead of Rob and Amber is not because of something they did. It took Rob screwing with them to get them to actually find a better flight. It truly is the blind leading the blind. What's that saying about the squirrel finding a nut?

The geezers run is getting close to Lil's run on Survivor Pearl Islands. Totally inexplicable.

We know the geezers had a 2 hour lead. With all that stumbling around they did (and Romber being fairly error-free after landing), I can't wait to see what the start times are between teams 2 and 3 next week. I'm guessing it won't be much.

I don't think so. They had a long layover in Delhi. I have to think they would have used that time to try and find better flights whether or not Rob said anything.

Either way, Rob's comment about both teams is true. Occasionally they get lucky but for the most part its the blind leading the blind.

The geezers, yes. The baldies (well, really Uchenna), no. Uchenna usually has a handle on things.

Unless they have to drive anywhere themselves. They get lost on basically every leg that involves a map.

The problem is, I dislike those teams much more than Rob and Amber, so there's the problem I face.

It's one thing to say 'the blind leading the blind', but to call them stupid is demeaning and gives him a 'holier than thou' attitude.

Thanks, mrpayroll.

Traditionally, the 2-hour finale has begun with four players, and had an elimination about halfway through. If they go that route again, then next week will be a non-elim round (we've only had two so far this season, there were four last season).

If a team is eliminated next week, that means the 2-hour finale will either be 2 hours of the final three, or possibly even incorporate a "reunion" show.

I'm thinking next week might be the first part of a two-part leg (like they had a couple of weeks ago). Then they eliminate one team after the first hour of the finale, leaving three to race to the end.
