I really hope that ABC stands behind this show to allow it to find an audience. It is very entertaining. The passport ploy was very funny.

I believe when the show returns at the end of the month that ratings will increase. I just hope that Eyes can last that long. Seems that ABC doesn't understand who the show appeals to. Don't watch much ABC, is the show even promoted?

You have to show some repeats if you are going to do a traditional Sept-May schedule run. That's about a 35 week period, so with 22-24 eps in a season, you are going to have 11-13 weeks with repeats or no episode. That's the way it has always been.
The show is heavily promoted.

I really like this show - it is smart, sexy and funny. I hope it stays around.
Right now I am watching more ABC than any other network:
Desperate Housewives
LOST
ALIAS
Eyes
Grey's Anatomy
That's a first for sure!

Yes, but Alias is not the ratings grabber that Lost is. They want to be able to cover the 3 sweeps months: Nov, Feb, and May. They can't do that if they do an Alias-like run.

I think the fact that ABC was in danger of slipping into the ratings realm of WB and UPN just a year or two ago gave them the opportunity to try things that were either more daring or things other networks passed on. I believe DH was even passed on by HBO? Anyway, it seems like the daring shows are the ones I'm more drawn to and therefore I'm also watching a lot of ABC this season. On the flip side, the higher ratings networks go the "safe" route and give us 3 CSIs and enough Law & Order to choke an elephant.

These things are cyclical. I'm sure you will see the Lost and DH clones from other networks next season.

Wow that's a reach. It's always Fox!
I really liked both episodes of Eyes. Even the secondary plot was good with the jackass millionaire leaving his employee hung out to dry. They already have me interested in most of the characters. And I like that Harlan is a smartass as they prepare to go into the kidnapper's hideout.
Didion: Stay behind me.
Judd: I was going to go back to the car.

Good episode. I'm going to keep watching. The passport thing at the end reminded me of the end of season one of Nip/Tuck. The bad guy thinks he's getting away and then they pull a fast one on him and he is arrested.
Regarding the ratings for Lost and Alias, hard to say. I think people are getting tired of being strung along with Lost. I know I am and this is the first season I havent looked forward to Alias because they have dumbed it down.

ABC finished the season fourth behind Fox, UPN was fifth. I think that was the "kick-in-the-pants" ABC needed to start going after the shows they got starting in the Fall 2004 season.
