What a crapfest of a tribe. Ulong will forever be synonymous with "Loser".
I can see it now: "Hey, being such a whiney ulong!" People will make U symbol to denote Ulong-ness. |
what does Ulong actually (used to but will no longer) mean anyway?
|
Well even though they only have 2 people now,i think Bobby John and Steph will make a pretty damn tough duo in physical challenges.
|
Can anybody summarize the first half hour? I was busy and turned it on as they got the tree mail for the puzzle challenge.

except that they aren't getting nearly the kind of food that koror has been getting I'm glad steph's staying. it's so strange to see so few people at tribal when there are still two tribes |
sad to see Ibrehem go. He was a very honest & loyal guy, but he just didn't play the personal side of the game well enough. He just alligned himself with someone who went back on his word.
|
That was almost too close. Ulong is pathetic but I was prepared to see Steph go.
|
It would be incredible if the just leave Steph as the sole remaining tribesman from Ulong going against the other Tribe, only to have her start winning challange after challange after challenge.
Suppose something like that did happen, how would they work tribal council? Noone from the other tribe would vote for her to get the million bones. Maybe this year there will be a competition for the money instead of voting? |
Maybe there isn't going to be a jury this year and it'll just come down to the final two people left with a final challenge to win it all.
|
If Ulong goes back to tribal council again, they should make Bobby Jon and Steph each try to solve the puzzle again. They could be out there a looooooong time for that challenge...
or... "Pick a number." |
the cruelest thing would be to let the other tribe vote for them. I don't think I'd like to see that happen.
if steph made it to the end the jury might feel some sympathy for her since she was alone so long, they might be impressed with how she played the game, and they could be pissed at whoever from their tribe makes it, so even if there are no team loser people on the jury it isn't necessarily a clear decision. |
How about 2 out of 3: Paper - Scissors - Rock?
|
I think Steph is very possibly the all time best female Survivor and it just isn't right that she ends up like this. I hope that it can somehow take the turn that she deserves.

"I guess to one up him I gotta pull in a humpback whale or something." -- Ian Anyways, they ate like kings and rolled the shark into roasts and made a few steaks. Reward Challenge -- Rescue Singal Goal: Three people from each tribe have to build a rescue signal that can be seen by an overpassing plane. Who ever is the most creative and most visible will win a drop of food and supplies. Ulong: The 3 Musketeers (Ib, Bobby Jon and Steph) spell out their tribe name and light in on fire. Pros: It was on fire Cons: Set to far up the shore. Using your tribe name is not creative. Pros: On a large beach. Very creative. Cons: Fire didn't light. Koror, already fat on shark and clam, got a bunch of wine and MREs and other supplies. Ulong went fishing and got a tiny fish (looked like a black tang) and a pretty good sized clam. ... then they went to the Tree Mail... ... hope that helps. Ibrehim  That should cover it. |
How many cameramen do you think got fired by Mark Burnett tonight for not getting the shark-kill on camera?

anyway, editing made the it quite clear with all the voting strategy talk that ulong would lose again. |
This season is starting to tick me off...
... but then again it was nice to see Willard again. |
I hope they do a merge -- what's the point of a tribal council of 2. I can still see Steph doing well in Koror. She's smart enough to work her way into a Koror alliance. The first one to go in Koror looks like Janu -- she looks like she wants to go home. I know they edit out discussion of previous Survivor seasons when contestants talk strategy. Someone had to have brought up the fact, when discussing the dangers of romance, how a romantic alliance worked out in the last season.
The fishing was hilarious -- and you could tell Jeff was loving it too. A great line was from Bobby Joe after they lost the reward challenge -- something like: "We had to have worked harder than them! How could we lose? ... (pause) ... well, maybe they were smarter again." So pathetic ... they burned their shelter in a last ditch effort to win a challenge, and still lost. And the look on Bobby Joe's face during the immunity challenge -- it looked like his brain was going to explode. All with Jeff taunting "Ulong's puzzle is even more jumbled than when they started!" |
Steph's finally learning how to vote correctly. As good as she's been at the challenges, she's made some bonehead voting decisions up until she finally voted for James last week.
I really hope that there isn't a merge because Bobby Jon and Steph have more of a fighting chance without it. With only 2 people, they don't have the numbers to try to split up Koror. Plus it's just more interesting since nobody knows how it will work without the merge. |
If there isn't a merge, they'll have to be some sort of redistribution of teams. Perhaps

No surprises. Pretty uneventful and boring. Ulong loses both challenges and Ib gets booted.
