Who will get voted out tomorrow?

I won't vote until I see the performances, but my guess is that it'll be a boy this time.

I voted for Anthony because he butchers every song he sings IMO.

As usual, I suspect it will be Anthony. By far the worst remaining.

(I suspect that Nadia's fans will rally for her this week since she was next-to-last the previous week. Jessica, Carrie, Anwar, and Bo should also be safe because of their consistent performances. Constantine gets by on looks and charisma. Nikko's sort of a wild card in the bunch, and he could easily take either Scott or Vonzell's place in the bottom three. But I think it's Scott's turn for a brush with rejection. Vonzell only survives if she gives a particularly strong performance.)

One other thing...

Nadia

With Mikalah going home.

You can see a pattern in the above eliminations, where the second-to-last person the previous week was voted off the next week. So if Nadia goes this week, it looks like there might be a pecking order. (Be interesting to see the final vote tallies for all contestants on a week-by-week basis, wouldn't it?)

There's kind of an interesting dynamic this season, where you have a group of singers who are diverse and all rather strong in their own genres. I have to wonder if, when we get down to the final eight or so, if it will only take one bad performance to eliminate someone, or if each of the singers has his/her own loyal legion of fans who will vote regardless.

I'll hold my judgement until after the show tonight. But I wanted to give a few of my observations up until this point. I've been holding these thoughts...

1. Anthony should hit the road. He has a good voice, but he's not "pop star" material. He seems like a guy that should be singing jingles or commercial songs or something. He gives me the willies with his wannabe sexy act.

2. Constantine looks like a serial killer. Sorry, he just does. He always gives the creepy little "I'm hiding something" smile. Kinda freaky. His singing is average IMO. He's already lasted longer than he should have.

3. Scott is a great singer but gets no respect because of his looks. Everyone seems to be against the white-kid-with-the-gangsta-flair. But he seems like a nice kid that is just misunderstood. Not to mention that people hold his weight against him but he doesn't seem that big to me. There have been plenty of large singers and celebrities (just look at one of the past AI winners).

4. Nadia is a great performer but maybe not necessarily the best pure singer. I enjoy her performances and her voice for the most part. Last week was a mis-step though. Gotta give her props for the guts to do that song and sport the Mohawk.

5. It's coming down to Bo vs. Carrie. Unless something crazy happens these 2 should be facing off in the end. I sway from week to week on who I like better but Carrie is tops right now IMO.

This year the bottom of the pack has been more predictable and has seemed to depend more on the most recent performance rather than overall popularity. That's the way it is supposed to be but not the way it usually is on this show. Note that it happened to Jessica and even the highly popular and pimped Nadia after one poor performance. For that reason I will wait until the performances are over to vote. I think the only ones that may be immune to this are Carrie, Bo and maybe Constantine (God knows why!!)

With a bad performance Anthony, Vonsell, Nikko, or even Nadia could be gone. Prior to the performances I would say that Nikko has to have another good performance to stay alive. Vonsell needs another stand out night as well. They are the most vulnerable IMO. Federov has that rabid pre-teen girl vote that might insolate him, especially coming off a bottom 3 appearance. I don't know where Scott's votes are coming from (Idaho militia maybe??) but they seem to be consistent - not that he's not deserving or anything.

I'll say it again though, this final 10 is the best yet. Any one of them would have been in the top 3 last year.

Behind Anwar, did anyone else see the football player from last season? It's been a year, but I'm sure that was him in the front row. Odd.

Just tuned in and listened to the crap that is Constantine. What did Bo sing earlier in the episode? Was it any good?

Anwar - Awful. I will bring up my comments from last week (which Randy and Simon also brought up...the dreaded "high note" is his only saving grace)

Nadia - Liked it.

Constatine - Awful. One of my gf's favorite songs (and Bonnie Raitt is a joy to listen to)...no justice at all.

Nikko - HORRID. There was a reason he wasn’t given a spot in the top 12 the first time.

Anthony - Don't have to listen to the whole performance. HORRID. Yup. The horror. The hor-ror.

Carrie - Liked it. Not as good as last week, though.

Scott - Awful. Get rid of that "beard" and don't wear pajamas to perform. Oh and wipe that shoe polish off of your upper lip.

Vonzell - Best of the night, IMO. Better than Carrie.

thumbs up to it. I think he's close to being anointed, because Sierra sucked tonight. Anwar sucked too.

My only question: How did he go this long without being signed? My coworkers son and his band were just signed to a contract...and I think Bo's got him beat by a mile.

Nikko just KILLED it. Absolutely thumbs up! Won't win it...but a really strong performance nonetheless.

Scott did very well. He doesn't have a lot stage presence, but he did well.

scott has one of the better singing voices in the contest.. but no stage presence, no likeability.. and his image just flat out makes most people ignore his voicet

and i believe what randy called "pitchy" was scott trying to do a full impersonation of the way mcknight originally sung the song
