Ugh, recap next week? Lame, I'd rather have had an hour tonight and no recap episode this season.

Not sure if it's a recap next week, or a regular ep next Tuesday and a recap on Wednesday. I thought that's what it was at least.

Great comeback by the brothers!

Rob: "I'm done being nice." Hmmm, hadn't noticed.

Payback is a bitch for Ray for being selfish.

Yeah, at least they each got a Rav4.

Those 2 definitely should break up....if Deana is still with him, she needs to get her head checked.

Awesome that the old people beat Ray.

Lynn and Alex were really funny with the whole Tribes challange. The chief at the entrance was pretty damn cool, so were all the bushmen.

They're actually in Botswana now, which is directly north of South Africa. But yeah, it would be amazing to spend a night out on that salt flat.

Ooops! I wasn't sure and didn't tape the epi so I couldn't check. Thanks JasonF!

They really gave Rob the "mean greedy asshole edit". Not that he wasn't being one, but still... It's a race after all. Ah well, I still like having him in the Race, but I don't want Romber to win. Still, he could have just rolled down a window and ask the brothers if they were alright.

I hated how Lynn & Alex were all "WE stopped! WE helped!" Stopping to gawk is not helping. Shut. Up.

Great, great ending. The footrace was as exciting as it gets. Glad to see my favorite team still in it. Wonder how exactly they flipped though, it looked like there weren't many obstacles in the road.

Also great to see Rob a little pissed after his comments about Meredith pushing Gretchen. Oh no, Team On Fire won't let us in their cab, now I'm really mad. How am I gonna afford them Pats tickets with only one million dawllahs? I hope both of them stick around for a little while though. They're good entertainment.

The penalty on a non-elim leg is much better this year, if not a bit overly harsh. It'd suck having only the clothes on your back and going from Africa to Sweden or something.

I'm not sure. I think the driver may have gotten too close to the edge of the road and hit sand and then maybe overcorrected.

Great episode! Kudos to Meredith and Gretchen. They're giving it their all and keeping up. Loved the ending!

An awesome episode, or 2 episodes.

the taking the backpack away part sure hurts some, and I think there will be at least 2 more non-elim rounds right? so that's 2 more teams potentially that could lose all there stuff.

This is the best show on TV. the footrace was great. I'd guess the LR got stuck in a rut or something and they like bluefrost said overcorrected it.

I actually enjoyed Rob's banter for much of the season but no more.
Amber is now officially useless and cannot make a decision nor do a roadblock without help of reality tv fans. blah!

Rob and Amber could have slowed down and asked if everything is ok like most other teams. You don't need to get out and be in the way but at least have some consideration. They actually believe their hype .. saying maybe Meredith might have pushed Gretchen down -WTF.
I don't think the older team are good racers but Rob was mean just to be mean. All these people helping out team survivor and Rob is only mediocre in doing the tasks. He even feels he can get into other people's cabs as if that was his right. I don't like Alex or Lynn but why do they need to share their cab? Rob doesn't help them so why should they?
Lastly, I'm only rooting for the brothers - I hope they win because they are the most deserving

Edit - the non-elimination penalty is harsh. I think they will need to spend some money on buying cold-weather clothes if they get that far. Anyway, 2 fast fowards = two non-elimination + the final leg's non-elimination?

I was rooting for Rob and Amber (they could have at least slowed down and asked if everythink was okay, like everyone else did), but now I'm hoping the Brothers take it all the way. That was an amazing finish!

I thought most of his gameplan was fun to watch until last night's episode. He brought back his unlikeable and cutthroat attitude from Surivivor. Race or not, the other teams behind the brothers at least stopped to check if they were all right. It's the human thing to do. He also didn't get any brownie points for refusing to help Meredtih & Gretchen and badmouthing them on top of that. Ray was like that the last couple of legs and it thankfully came back to haunt him.

That was an amazing 2 hours of racing, with that unbelievable come from behind finish by the brothers after rolling their humvee.

Rob and Amber will take a PR hit, but then again, one team had already stopped and the situation was under control. Stopping wouldn't really have helped the situation, but it does paint them in a bad light nonetheless. Personally, I would have stopped and asked if there was anything I could do, but would continue with the race once things were okay.

Just from the last three posts:
Rob and Amber could have slowed down and asked if everything is ok like most other teams.

They could have at least slowed down and asked if everything was okay

Race or not, the other teams behind the brothers at least stopped to check if they were all right.
Why? What's the point of doing that?

They weren't the first ones to come upon the accident, so their attention to the situation was not necessary.
If the accident situation had been serious, everyone at the scene wouldn't have been just standing around.

So what are they supposed to do? What is their stopping supposed to accomplish?

What if they had stopped, and offered the courtesy "Are you guys ok?", and the answer had come back "NO"
Then what are they supposed to do?

All the people who slowed down to shout "R U OK" did so with all the sincerity of the grocery store cashier who asked me tonight how I was doing.

I like Rob more for not showing phony concern.

Given the crap Lynn and Alex pulled with the half-empty taxi on Rob and Amber, Alex and Lynn shouldn't try to claim the high road (except that it was within the framework of the game).

I'm pulling for Rob and Amber to win this thing but after the Brothers came back from the wreck and legged it out at the end I'm going to be pulling for them as well. Glad Ray and Dena are gone....that guy is an ass and it was great to see the old couple beat them out!

why should they have to share a cab? It was their cab. Who cares if there was space as Rob just expected them to back down as if that was his right. Flip the situation and ask yourself if Rob and Amber would have done anything different than what Alex and Lynn did.

It wasn't a typical cab, it was more like a "short bus", so it was pretty ridiculous for Lynn and Alex to do their "sorry, no room" act. I don't know if Rob would have acted like that. He would have urged the driver to drive off if he saw Alex and Lynn running towards the vehicle, but once they got there maybe he would have conceded - either way, Alex and Lynn did the tactically correct thing, but in a really douchey way (which was more annoying than the fact that they got the cab). I really dislike them after all the comments in Johannesburg. I guess I figured they were pretty innocuous apart from their unhealthy obsession with Rob, but clearly ugliness lies under even the least threatening facade.

I agree with the comments about how there was no reason for Romber to stop and exchange pleasantries with the people standing around the accident scene. Lynn and Alex took a lot of satisfaction in their decision to stay there for a bit, but they really weren't serving any useful purpose. I also am not sure that Rob and Amber drove right through without slowing down and rolling down the window, etc. If I remember correctly, there was a cut between them approaching the scene, and then pretty slowly driving away from it.

Plus, if that was really a public transportation bus, I'm pretty sure that the driver would've stopped to let them in.

Team Gay were dicks about it but I think that they had a right to do so in this case.

That shows you what a heartless bastard he is, race or not. The brothers get into a big accident, Rob and Amber sees them and knows these people, and just pass by without asking whether they are okay or not. You don't have to stop like the "Boyfriends" but at least you should slow down.

"Phony concern", so you are saying that if you pass a scene of a accident and you knew the people involved, you will drive pass through it because you were late for an appointment or something???
It will be one thing if they didn't know who was involved in the accident, but it's another thing when you know the people involved. That's not cool. Even Ray and Deana slowed down to ask and how can you go lower than Ray in this installment of TAR. Big .

I was even glad earlier that Rob and Amber and Ray and Deana, didn't offer to help the old geezers out since I thought that was really dumb of the other teams to help them with cash especially (the clothes was no big deal for me).

Ray hitting Deana with the stick and not apologizing was classic. I think he actually said something about "teamwork" to her after hitting her.

BTW, I'm getting sick and tired of Ron mentioning his time in Iraq, just shut up and race.
