"I've Been Wanting a Face-Lift for a Long Time", Episode #705/706.

A racer falls while in a cave and comes up covered in blood from a gash on the head; two teams face their fear of heights and use their ability to balance as they compete for the race's first ``fast forward.''

The old couple will go in the first episode and the second one will be a non-elimination.

That would certainly be a different way of doing it! I'm going the more conventional route and voting for the old couple at the end of the two hours, with non-elim at the end of hour one.

Team Turtle (retirees) will finish last in both legs, but one will be non-eliminations (probably the first).

Don't count out the brothers from being eliminated, how much time will they lose from their accident? Probably will be a non-elim and then an elimination so you never know depending on when the old folks have their spill and the brothers have their big crash. Should be a great 2 hours tonight for sure.

I think the non-elimination will be the first leg. Looks like they are going to Africa tonight. You'd think with the vehicle crash that the brothers would stand a good chance of getting eliminated, but it usually seems to be someone they don't focus the previews on.

That's why I question the geezers getting eliminated; the preview suggests they have problems too.

How could they not show that scene in the previews though? I still say its the old couple coming in last in both and not finishing one.

Two pre-determined legs have one FAST FORWARD, which allows the Team that completes the FAST FORWARD task first to proceed directly to the next PIT STOP without having to do any further tasks, including DETOURs or ROADBLOCKs, on the way. The trick is that only the first Team to find and complete the FAST FORWARD on the leg may use it; any subsequent Team that finds it will have wasted their time and must go back and complete all tasks. In addition, a Team may claim only one FAST FORWARD during the entire race.

kenage, a fast forward (no need for spoilers) is simply that. It lets a team who chooses to use it to fast forward to the end of that leg of the race. they usually still have to complete some sort of task/challenge before they get to use it.

The reason that I spoilered my response was that the fact that there is a fast forward tonight was spoilered in the preview, and others might not have wanted to know about it before the show.

why does anyone even get scared doing these stunts? they put you in a harness and ropes and double check your connections. the last thing they want is to have the headlines read "contestant killed on The Amazing Race" ..

I guess that's just me though.

I'm really surprised that Deana was able to do that Fast Forward. Ray finally gives her words of encouragement instead of rippin' on her.
