I loved the staredown.

Yeah, that was funny. The "she gets me" urine dance, however, was incredibly silly. Like we wouldn't get it if they did something 10 times more subtle.

As of the end of last night's episode, not yet.

Addison and Alex hooking up is just a matter of time.

How long before Izzy and McSteamy hook up? It's pretty obvious with all that "I don't do coffee fetching" talk last week... it's leading up to that.

Not "always." In fact the Friday night repeat seems completely random and unpredictable.

I would be scared too if Callie were staring at me with those crazy eyes.

invisiblegt 01-12-07 07:14 PM

I've said it once, and I'll say it again...

Man I love being a turtle.*

*Seeing as that has no actual bearing on this thread, I will simply say that Izzy and George's relationship is one of the best parts of the show for me.

I hear you. But I think the writers, in a hammering the point into your skull kinda way, were just making the point that his Father made about her "really getting him like no one else". Hey, if 2 people can dance over a Father's pee...it must be love.

das Monkey 01-12-07 07:53 PM

Yeah, it was obvious the point they were making. "Hey you! Yeah, you -- stupid viewer with drool on your chin. Stop eating your hair, and pay attention to this part!" I half expected Keenen Ivory to pop out from behind the curtain and yell, "Message!" Normally, I wouldn't bother bitching about crappy writing like this, but the whole George/Callie thing has been forced for so long, and they finally get a chance to give them a tender moment that makes sense, and they blow it on a silly gag.

I guess it doesn't really matter, though. In 10 episodes, George will have moved on to Ellis Grey, and Callie will be with the newly introduced McTangeriney.

Nope....Tv viewing is so screwed now
that viewers actually enjoy watching
tv shows written like this.

Sometines I think the writers of GA
are actually stealing plot lines
from Animal Planet's Meerkat Manor.

Grey's Anatomy - "Six Days Pt II" - 1/18/07

"Six Days Pt II"
Spoiler:
Cristina and Burke continue to play Uncle until one of them gives in. Meredith tries to talk to her father about his side of the story. There's tension between Alex and Addison. Callie and George talk and panic. Bailey wishes she didn't have to keep a secret. Izzie may have found some good to do. A 40-year-old man comes to the hospital because he can't stop crying but his wife thinks he needs to just get over it. Two roommates arrive in the ER and the medical condition of one may change both of their lives.

MrX 01-19-07 01:18 AM

Fairly predicatable episode.

At least Addison looked hot, though I still hate Karev and her together.

Patman 01-19-07 08:04 AM

Izzie's money could buy a girl a new back, but Izzie could not spare George the inevitable pain of losing his father. Addison's revelation about her and Mark's past was out of the blue, but did explain her behavior towards Alex a bit, but it seems those feelings ran deeper than she first realized. Christina being the one to connect with George about losing his father and sharing as much sympathy for what he's going through was unexpected, but it a touching moment between them on a different level than just a boo-hoo hugfest after such a loss.

GatorDeb 01-19-07 08:51 AM

Question: I really thought I was up to date on all eps. In 2007 there have been only 2 new eps so far right? Because for the life of me I can't remember why Addison is mad at McSteamy...anyone?

I love the way they keep Christina in character.

Didn't she want him to go back to NY and leave her alone? I know she was pissed about him taking the job at Seattle Grace. Also, I can't remember, did she find out he slept with Torres?

Patman 01-19-07 10:01 AM

I think everyone knows about McSteamy and Torres, probably even Ellis does.

Jadzia 01-19-07 10:11 AM

Can someone explain to me about George's dad? Why did he want the surgery? Why should they not have given it to him? Why did it kill him?
I was unclear on the medical reasons for that.

I have gotta say this episode really got to me emotionally, having just lost my own father last month. :(

gotrice487 01-19-07 10:43 AM

George's dad needed the surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. He was told that if the cancer had spread, they would not remove the tumor because it would be too dangerous for his body to handle. He basically was left with two options then if the cancer had spread...the first was he leave the tumor and go home with a few days/weeks to live and the second was remove it and fight but possibly suffer multiple organ failure quickly. Mr. O'Malley then proceeded to make Chief and Bailey promise him they would take it out even if it spread because "he's a fighter and his family needed him". Upon removing the tumor that had spread, he could not fight it and was dependent on life support. George decided to pull the plug because he was in pain and there was nothing else that could be done.

gordon2 01-19-07 11:08 AM

My mother-in-law has been in the hospital since Dec. 26th with pneumonia type symptoms, and was just recently diagnosed with lung cancer. I watched this episode last night as my wife was visiting her mom at the hospital (I was home with our 2 yr old). As I watched the O'Malley's struggle with his cancer I could only think what was to come for her mother/us. And when he passed and I watched the family's grief I wondered what they must be going through. Well I found out at 3:30 this morning when we got a call from a nurse that her mother had crashed and they were trying to revive her but couldn't. I just can't believe my wife lost her mom when she's only 28 years old...

Patman 01-19-07 11:20 AM

My friend lost his father and his sister in the same year within 3 months when he was only 26. That was a bad year.

Giantrobo 01-19-07 12:45 PM

Sorry for you loss gordon. My Dad died when I was 20 and my Mother 3 years later.

Grey's Anatomy - "Great Expectations" - 1/25/07

"Great Expectations"
Spoiler:
]Bailey proposes the creation of a free clinic; a Seattle Grace doctor receives a proposal.

dpz301 01-25-07 09:04 PM

pretty interesting episode. we'll see how things turn out next week.

Patman 01-25-07 09:18 PM

Addison looked damn sexy in her glasses.

I knew Izzie would end up using the money for Bailey's project.

I felt really sad for the shunned Amish girl, but it was the right thing in the end.

The runner's condition worsening was bizarre.

Aren't there more surgical candidates at SGH than the 4 vultures?

Callie and Christina bonding.

The 2 proposals seemed far too forced and unnatural.
