I think the Bomb Squad was brought in simply to give Meredith a new love interest (the Early Edition guy) and mercifully put an end to the I dreaming of McDreamy plotline.

This episode will be re-run on Thursday since so many people missed it (tried to record it but had the timing off because of the Superbowl).
From an ABC press release (as reported in the Chicago Tribune): "The record-breaking episode of 'Grey’s Anatomy' that aired after the Super Bowl will be presented in an encore broadcast on Thursday, Feb. 9 [8:30-9:30 p.m. Central Time] on the ABC Television Network -- following 'Dancing with the Stars.'

Anyone notice that for about the last five minutes of the episode (Ricci panicing, Meridith with hand in patient), nobody was squeezing the air bulb thingy? I mean, the whole reason to have the hand in there was to clamp off the bleeder and now the guy is probably brain dead, anyway.

Maybe Meredith will blow up and they'll change the show to Lizzie's Anatomy, since we saw a lot of it in this episode anyway.

I finally watched this today and I have to say that this was the best ep in quite some time - it really flew by.
Highlights were definitely George and the Chief fawning over Bailey, and Alex (the lucky bastard).
Meredith wasn't that annoying either.

I wish I would have known Ms. Ricci was in this, I would have attempted to watch. I've never seen the show, but like many, wanted to know what 'Code Black' was. Heck, I work in a hospital, and I didn't even know. I know there is Code Pink, Code Green, Code Orange and a bunch of others... Most people just know Code Red (fire) and Code Blue (patient dying)
I'll attempt to watch Thursday night as I am a big Ricci nut. But I will probably miss it. Whaa.

Well, that was one helluva conclusion to last week's Super Bowl episode.
I got chills from George's empathetic, but strong, plea for Bailey to get her to give birth to her child, while her husband was having brain surgery.
Meredith and McDreamy's coda to day's event was so achingly pitch-perfect as both come to their romantic senses, but know more work needs to be done if they can ever return to that sense of optimistic bliss they shared for that short amount of time.

Seemed like they really didnt explain much after the BOOM! When they come back from commercial, Burke and Sheppard just walk out of the elevator? Dont you think an explosion 20 ft away might interrupt Burke's surgery? Or the noise and shock might impact what Sheppard and his team were doing to same Bailey's hubby's life? Just was a letdown to me after a good shock value scene with the explosion and Grey getting knocked for a loop. Just my opinion...

None of that was important to the emotional impact of the storylines. This show isn't about procedurals, it's about relationships that shift and change, but some remain resolute regardless of the odds.

Too good eps back-to-back.
And Christina almost killed Bailey's baby's daddy. Idiot.

Entertaining episodes though.
