I thought the first hour was so-so. Awfully corny, but am willing to watch it again next week. I also felt that Miracles was a promising show that handled similar material rather successfully.

I wouldn't say the religious right is behind this movie.
Unless they show the anti-christ as a good man who fools the world as is written in the Book of Revelations. Then this mini-series is another liberal's take on the bibel.
There was a Noah's ark t.v. movie a few years ago that had Noah fighting some vikings at sea after the great flood.

So is the first run on every Wednesday night on NBC with repeats on other channels? I picked up a new HD DirecTivo today and am resetting up all of my Season Passes and it throws me that next Wed says it's a repeat.

I watched it... kind of creepy... well acted, but creepy.
But ID4 tainted me... everytime I see Bill Pullman, I think he's the president.

The 3D baby on the wreckage was hilariously bad.

Caught a repeat on USA. Actually, ReplayTV caught it - I watched it.
Meh. If I missed the rest of this "limited series", I wouldn't be heartbroken.
This, I totally agree with. In addition, it was a truly horrible soundtrack.

I thought tonight's episode was pretty boring.
What exactaly is the relationship between Pullman's character and that boy they photographed him with and sent to his ex.
And who the thought it was a good idea to give Fred Durst a part, atleast he didn't have any lines.

I thought the second installment was still pretty decent. The evil 'fashion models' were pretty creepy and the guy playing the satanist in prison is doing an amazing job.

I also found this 2nd episode to be rather slow. There's only supposed to be 6 of these, right? They better pick up the story -- unless the point is to leave the audience hanging and clamoring for an ongoing series. I'll be pissed if that happens. Too bad we didn't get to hear Pullman's explanation for how you can genetically differentiate between the anti-Christ and the Messiah. As a scientist, I was curious to hear that one

Now that they got the nun out of her habit, I might have to follow through and watch the remaining 3 episodes.
The whole step-son subplot mystifies me (probably because it's been ages since I've even been a part of discussing the book of Revelations.)
So now we got satanist exchanging bodies with the little girl. Oooo...creepy...

So I take it this is a 6-part series?
I've watched the first three out of shear boredom but its pretty intriguing... and Fred Durst is the worst actor in the world.
Maybe I'll convert the
smilie to one that regrows the thumb, ala Satan Dude.

Caught the first episode and it turned out better than expected.
It was not as cheesy as I thought it would be. This was supposed to air back in September but it never did, and the show has a pretty cool look and the editing is crisp so maybe they've made some changes. (You can see if you leave subtitles on there are lines cut out.)
People shouldnt watch or avoid the show due to religion. If anything, it's an oldfashioned scifi-quest show; the dynamics mimic the X-files, with 2 leads, sexual tension (yeah she's a nun, don't worry about it) with a slight reversal of roles of scientist and skeptic. Things are obviously glossed over on the backstories because it keeps things interesting, like on Lost. Since we're halfway through, they need to pick things up, but last I heard the initial show got better ratings than what West Wing usually does.
Anyone who hasnt seen it should check it out, at least the first one. (Don't even know why I checked it out, I think it was the commercial with the guy cutting his finger.) And how can you miss a show that's rerun on Bravo, USA, and Scifi? NBC owns the WORLD!

So were those monks that showed up to take the virgin mother working for the devil?
They probably could have shortened this down to a 2 or 3 night miniseries if they wanted too. There's just seems like there is to much stuff that is placed in the show as time filler.

Cop: "No fire arms?"
Fred Durst: "We're Mormon."
Cop: "Why isn't Sam in school?"
Fred Durst: "We're Mormon."
Cop: "Out of state driver, parked in the back country this time of year. Alot of bloodthirsty guys are out here pushing the season."
Fred Durst: "The season?"
Cop: "Deer season."
Fred Durst: "Well, we're Mormons."
... that was funny... and pointless!
