There are still a few people in this country that don't watch college hoops.
Don't look at me, I don't know who they are.

god bless tivo because i'll be watching hoops (although with the regional games we get to watch, i might just forget it and watch ER. I hate how they do these games. Yes, i'd much rather watch Illinois crush UW-Milwaukee instead of watching Washington vs. Kentucky. Oh and who would want to watch Arizona vs. OK state when you can watch West Virginia vs. Texas tech <sigh>)

I have a friend who is on tonight's episode. He plays "Murray", a vending truck (sandwiches and coffee) operator and appears in a scene close to the first commercial break after the opening credits.

I got a little teary when it was apparent that Neela and Gallant weren't going to get a real goodbye, and it felt like they were setting it up that this would be Gallant's last appearance on ER (i.e. killing him off while he's still serving in Iraq, and having Neela read his letter either later this season, or early next season). Good performances by both actors tonight in this bittersweet love story blossoming after a year of correspondence between the characters. I thought it was cool that Neela didn't judge Gallant for his actions over there, and just accepted it, and proffered that in times like these, you just have to keep moving forward.
I usually hate the storylines dealing with Sam's ex, and this was no exception, it just felt like feeler for an otherwise moving episode.
So perhaps Wendell is out of the picture (with Madchen Amick on "Joey" tonight, she's been making the rounds this year as a romantic interest in 3 shows so far.) Carter looked really sad too.

Come back for only two eps and get some Neela-lovin'? Rock on, dude!
She was looking particularly fetching tonight. And, yeah, I kept waiting for them to kill him. Let's hope he comes back soon. As an aside, does any military expert know what the chances/circumstances would be for that to happen [realistically]?
Didn't care much for Sam's storyline either, but it wasn't that bad.
However, if Brooke Harper can't control her tear ducts on this show, it's gonna be a pretty unpleasant rest of the season..

I can't remember the last time I saw a developing love written so clearly on two characters' faces even more than in their words, that was so beautifully done throughout the whole ep, but especially in the scene were they were going to leave for dinner (the look on his face when she was turning out the lights!
), and then when they were in the burn unit and he was watching her leave for the ER... Sharif is SUCH a good actor, he spoke volumes just silently watching her leave.Oh, and count me in for:

That would be SO wrong, count me out, I'd be done!
Edited to add: the bracelet he had at the end, must've been Neela's, but I didn't see it if it came up earlier in the ep... was that item something particularly significant?

If I am not mistaken, she had it on her ankle (?) in bed after he wrote the letter and he told her it was beautiful.

I noticed where the producers managed to get in their anti-war message last night.
Good for Gallant though for pulling his sidearm and taking out that insurgent despite being on medic duty.

Actually it was Slippery Dan that got Bummer Dan shot, who then got himself 10-pointed. I could not remember Slippery, just that he was the pissing Dan.
