BBC's Super Volcano

Anyone catch this 2 part deal? Basically the first part was about a half hour of Discovery type program on the Super Volcano that is Yellowstone National Park. The second part was about an hour and was a drama of what would happen if the volcano were to erupt again. Very educational, and the drama was very well done with great volcano effects, etc.

If you didn't see it, you should.

And speaking of Yellowstone....I haven't been there since I was a very young lad. Too young to remember much, but I have seen many pictures from that trip and was amazed that the wooden sidewalks over some of the stuff did not have rails, etc. I attributed it to the 70s and the fact that we rode on the back of tailgates back them without worrying about safety. But on this new show, they have the same walkways. You have boiling hot water, mud, etc. and little kids walking around on this sidewalk. Blew me away. They mentioned that some number of visitors were injured and killed each year there (I don't think they gave a number) and it surprised me that they haven't made rails around the thing.

Anyway, it will make you appreciate being on the West Coast if the thing ever does go off.

I have it recorded but I haven't watched it yet

There is a book that deals with what would happen if it did erupt but I can't remember what it was called. I want to say "Disaster" or something close to that.
