I am sorry but that is not 220 pounds. She may have an extra 20-40lbs, but she did not double in size. This thread is one of the worse I have seen on this board.
Paging Giantrobo to thread 5895290.

She may not be fat but sh'e no longer the skinny chick with the fat husband.
I don't think the basic premise of the show works now. Now it looks entirely possible for Doug Heffernen to be married to Carrie.

What gets me is that they have basically skirted the issue on the show...how believable is that?
We are not dealing with reality. Don't confuse our expectations for this fictional couple with real life.

They already aired it...but it has more to do with her age rather than her weight...her character thinks losing weight will make a difference....and it is not a small weight gain...she's probably gained about 1/3 of her weight...something like a 200 pound guy gaining 70 lbs.

He was displeased about her weight gain, but she was in denial about how fat she had gotten, so on the pretense that she was joining him in a diet/workout regimine, he got her to drop some pounds but of course he cheated the whole time.
I think that the show was reluctant to address the (obvious) change in her appearance, and didn't think they had to since she was pregnant last year and they ignored that.
But then once Leah Remini made it clear that she was going to lose the weight, they figured they could start working that into the show.
(Especially since it's just more contrast with Doug who won't lose weight.)
I don't care how fat she is. And she's not fat!
SHE GOT FAT !!
Look at the pics of Leah Remini posted in this thread, or do a google image search on her, she was thin, sexy, and hot as a pizza oven.
You all must not watch the show --because after her pregnancy Leah was easily, i repeat easily 30 pounds heavier.
Now, it's not that big a deal because this is a sitcom and the show is not all about how sexy the Carrie charcater is...
But imagine if Jennifer Garner had come back for the new season of ALIAS 30 lbs heavier...
You think people wouldn't notice. You think people wouldn't be shocked and aghast. You think there wouldn't be a thread after every episode in which people bitch and moan about how horrible it was to watch Fat Sydney the Super Size Spy.
Fat Leah/Carrie looks a lot more like a normal average American woman.
If I wanted to see that, I'd go to the supermarket.
I'm watching TV!! I want to see the fantasy of Maxim pinup girls in love with fat dudes!!!

You have to understand that it took Leah Remini 9 months to gain the weight, and I don't think it's unreasonable to give her the same amount of time to lose it.
She's heavier, but she's not a house. And I'm sorry, she doesn't look like a normal average American woman. In the United States, the average adult woman weighs 163 lbs.
I still think she's funny and beautiful. Sue me.

Last time I checked...tv sitcoms were not the way to get a reality check. Oh and...it seems according to this and that institute...americans including women are on the whole overweight...give me the fantasy of sitcom.

!?!
She had a BABY!
Do you expect her to pop the kid out, lose all the extra weight acquired throughout the pregnancy just like that!? It's NOT possible to lose all the weight. Its unrealistic. Sure you lose some of it but not near all of it.
Like someone else said... it takes 9 months to gain the weight, give her the same amount of time to get back to "herself."
