Magnum P.I. changed theme songs midway through the first season.

Has anybody mentioned "Magnum PI"? They changed in the first season.

if you time it right, you can sing the actors names along with John Williams score for the theme of "The West Wing"

Sorry it just came to me......not to mention I just bought the season set a few weeks back. I really hate the original opening music.

Degrassi TNG altered their opening to something thats gross sounding.

I had forgotten the old theme when I bought Season One, but sure enough, the most popular theme was there on Season Two!

Hack changed theme songs between the first and second season.

I could be wrong but wasn't the theme always the same song only performed in different styles and tempos?

yes it was, every season a different variation of the theme song.

Didn't Star Trek: Voyager change it's theme after the first or second season?

Minor point, but it's Snuffy Walden that does the music for TWW

I don't know if this counts, but Monday Night Football changed themes. I think the Hank Williams Jr. song cheapens the opening and doesn't have the air of importance of the original theme.

DS9 changed their theme for the later seasons as well.

Keeping on the sci-fi circuit, Farscape changed themes after the second season. Not a radical shift, but definately a more charged theme.

Unhappily Ever After - Their own theme song (Sample here) and later changed to "Hit the Road Jack"

In Living Color

The UPN Twilight Zone changed themes mid-way through it's only season. I thought the first theme fit the opening titles much better. The second theme was "harder" and more "rockish".

Didn't South Park change mid run as well?

Get Smart changed its theme song when it entered its final season, though it was a different version of the original song.

they modified it a bit but enterprise has always had that song

and I'm 99% sure the other treks only had minor changes but the overall theme was the same

Beverly Hills 90210 had a theme change. Only some of the first shows had the origonal, then they went to the one they used for the rest of the series.


By the rules stated: DSP, Alias have not changed their songs. It may have been played differently, but it is still the same thing.
