i was sorry to see Angie go, but i won't miss Willard at all.

i thought the show tonight was one of the best episodes i'd seen in a long time....i loved all the twists, they shook things up good!

Isn't that the truth. A girl like that that can hold her own and even best some tough guys, PLUS be pretty damned good looking, makes me go  like no other. :eyebrow:

I haven't watch Survivor for the past few seasons but tonight while in the hotel, I caught tonight's episode. Wow, that tribal council was fucking brutal. Talk about screwing up the game plan and having to make adjustment right away without any counselling.

Sick episode. Poor Angie was bamboozled. Tough way to get booted. I thought Koror should've given immunity to James and let Ulong vote Ibe off.

Stephenie is surely an all star worthy survivorette already. Looks like she might be next one voted off though. :(

I'll slap the taste out of Greg's mouth if he tries to boot my boy Tom. Blaspheming li'l bitch. He should be shot for just suggesting it. It's obviously the right move for anyone not in alliance with him, but the timing is wrong. If you are serious about cutting Tom out you have to wait and let him be the first one voted off after the merge. Although I hope all Tom assassination attempts are unsuccessful because it would be nice to see someone win who actually deserved it again. Last one was Ethan.

I just told my wife I thought he looked like the monkey in the immunity idol.

This season is just brutal. I feel so bad for Ulong, I just want to Euthanise the rest of them. Springing the immunity vote on them was just cruel. Please, Jeff mix up the tribes or something. I can't watch this ass-kicking anymore.

Actually, my opinion of Koror actually went up, because that IS the person you'd want to give immunity to, if you want to rattle the cages at Ulong's camp. I think those who voted to give him immunity were thinking just that: if Ulong came to Tribal Council intending to vote one person off, and were FORCED to switch tactics mid-stream, that would rattle Ulong more than anything, cause divisions, arguements, etc (note what they showed in the preview...). Plus, he's not a good swimmer, and didn't he lose his shoving-match (or whatever it was called) last week?

 What was with that vote??? Have they lost their memory completely? Angie has played harder in the challenges than ANY of the guys on that team, that made no sense. I'm guessing it was a personal dislike of her, more than anything... maybe disagreements we didn't see off-camera?

sven 03-17-05 02:46 AM

I guess they didnt realize that by keeping Angie around they might for the other tribe to have to play one of their girls(whose ass Angie would dominate) instead of forcing Jimbob to compete against either Ethan or Kobe(who will dominate him).

Also Kobe is really alot more likeable than I was expecting. From the first ep I got the impression he was gonna be the dick who goes around ripping on everyone behind their back. Plus it was a smart move not to make waves trying to save Willard.

treszoks 03-17-05 07:36 AM

That was just WRONG. They should have handed out vaseline after that tribal council. Stephanie deserves to win it all. She has been rocking on all the challenges.

Pharoh 03-17-05 07:40 AM

I thought the episode bordered on downright unfair. Why take away the one strategic device that every losing team has had in the past? I think the bestowing of immunity was too much. They have to change teams or merge this coming week, or this might quickly become unwatchable.

As for the immunity vote for Ibrehem, I found it brilliant on two counts. First, it will bring dissension even more into Ulong's camp, while it also simply weakens them immediately. They may have been stronger keeping Angie instead of James, but they also would have been stronger keeping Angie over Ibrehem, because the reality is that Ibrehem, while physically strong, has shown nothing, no heart and determination. They are now weaker and they will bicker and fight more. Secondly, if there is to soon be a merge or shuffling, it gives those who voted for Ibrehem another ally. He will have no loyalty to those who wanted to get rid of him, but likely would to those who saved him. A great tactical calculation.

I was also very happy to hear Greg talking with Coby. Very smart forward thinking, something I wonder if Tom is capable of. However, I too was sorry to see Angie go. She did not deserve too.

uteotw 03-17-05 08:11 AM

I also think it was a sweet move giving Ibraham immunity.

Just wondering--haven't we seen a swimming, um, problem, like this in many of the seasons? Regardless, he didn't deserve to go just because he blew it once. Otherwise James would've/should've been long gone for getting pushed off twice by a hairdresser...

I think I know what you're saying, and I thought the same thing. Of course I'll look like an ass if I come out and say it. But generally it's people that are just ripped too...showing that "beach" or weight-room muscle is nothing compared to actual strenght, ala Tom.

djbrown 03-17-05 08:34 AM

Okay, so else was expecting Williard to say "No. 'V' is for Victory" at some point?

Cusm 03-17-05 08:42 AM

I may be the only one, but I can not stand Tom, and I was really hoping they would give him the boot last night, they had the numbers but I guess they felt the time was not right. They could still win w/o him as they have to sit 4 people out at challenges now. I hope they merge or redraw teams soon, as I really like the Uulong tribe and I only see 2 people on the other.

Maxflier 03-17-05 08:48 AM

At first i was wondering WTF for Koror giving immunity to Ibrehem, but after thinking about it i realize that it was actually a smart move because it makes Ulong keep their weakest player.Ibrehem is just like Osten,he is all bowed up but when it comes to challenges,he is no more useful than Kim was.

Now that would have really shook things up. They better get rid of Tom before he wins all of the individual immunity challenges.

Timber 03-17-05 08:56 AM

I feel that Stephenie won't be around for much longer. If her tribe loses again she might be gone. If she makes it to the merge she might be able to fly under the radar a little bit but I doubt it. It will be a sad night in the Timber home when she gets voted off.

Not to mention, he is a lousy swimmer. I wonder if Mark Burnett goes out of his way to find people who meet certain stereotypes to many people. ;)

Stephanie will be cadmium red by the time that the tribes merge.

 Willard

:( Angie

Maquis 03-17-05 09:08 AM

I really hope they do not do a tribe shuffle! With 12 contestants remaining, it wouldn't make much sense. One more week, and they can merge at 11 remaining. Besides, Koror had to sit out 4 members last week, but it was too easy since they only had one challenge. If they had a seperate immunity challenge, Tom and/or Ian would have to sit out. I want to see seperate reward and immunity challenges when Koror has to sit out 1/2 their tribe. Everyone has to sit out in this round of challenges.

They sure made a big deal about Gregg telling Coby about the plan to take out Tom. I thought it was pretty dumb at this point to discuss it. That's something that should wait until a merge. I hope Tom gets wind of it, and he takes out Coby instead.

Actually, IIRC, Ibrahim was the only male on Ulong that was actually able to win one of his matches in the sumo-like challenge and also IIRC, he was one of the final 3 in the challenge where they held on the the 20 lb. bags. It is actually James who is the p***y in the group.

I was thinking they might go to 3 tribes of 4. Split Koror in half.

Yeah, thats true. But don't you think he should have won both matches....easily?

That's a good idea IMO.At least the remaining members of Ulong would have a fighting chance then.
