Agreement on both counts. I was laughing my ass off that they screwed up so badly.

And if he did not already, Rob has firmly cemented himself as the greatest reality contestant of all time. Frankly, nobody is even in his league. Even Phil is amazed at his abilities.

Very slick (if somewhat risky) move by Rob, since half of the teams were able to complete the task. But how many times can he draw from the well?

I thought it was a well calculated move to take the penalty. But i didn't even consider the possibility of convincing others to do the same thing! What a great move -- that HAS to rank up there among the most strategic moves ever in this show. They automatically have a 1.5 hour lead over teams 6-8 to start the next leg...

So did Team #1 not win anything this round? I don't remember them saying anything.

When Uchenna finished the meat first, I said "Enjoy your trip to Barbados!" but I guess they got lost and came in second.

That roadblock sucked. So I guess if your team was both vegetarian you were just screwed right? I hate the Fear Factor element. I think this show is above that.

I could be wrong but I think Joyce from Uchenna and Joyce was just on The Shield.

I'm trying to decide who I hate more last season's Jonathan, or this seasons Rob - he is one arrogant smug-ass twat.

You have to give it up for Rob, he is a heady player and has mastered Nash's game theory quite well to keep him and Amber in the race when faced with an obstacle he didn't think he could overcome the linear way, so he found another way.

This was one of the funnier TAR episodes ever, and the eat-off between the final two teams showed a lot of grit.

I hope you are being sarcastic, but it does not sound like it. I will admit I was never really a Rob survivor fan but he was brilliant then and also now. Although I thought he would at least wait a little while, not 5 minutes after they arrive to say hey she is not going to finish that. Give at least another 15 minutes or more of struggling then say your bit, just my thought. Back to Rob being a "smug-ass twat", I would in a million years rather be known as that than a possible "spouse abuser" both physically and mentally like a Jonathan. To qoute Samuel Jackson in Pulp Fiction, "They are not even in the same ballpark". I think you all know what he was talking about

what a bunch of pansies, esp. the guys who couldn't eat 4 lbs of food in 4 hours.

If you can't finish that crap, then puke it out to make more room. Take a few short breaks and be done with it.

It's like going to an all-you-can eat place to get your moneys worth. If you have to, go take a crap to make more room.

Bank on it, I would've finished that in under 2 hours, possibly in under 1 and I'm 5'7", 155 lbs. But then again I work out a lot and eat meat like a madman for the protein.

The flies would've discouraged me a bit but not as much as not having any ketchup would

I loved how they all had the giggles when Rob and Amber were walking up to the pitstop mat! Even Phil said something about "I don't know why we're laughing so much!", but it was hilarious: Rob did give the roadblock a real try (longer certainly than Deana did), but he figured out there was a better way, and he talked other teams into being his "cushion".

Interesting to note that Rob and Amber's time penalty ran out almost two hours before the other teams did... that was good timing, to quit before too many teams got there, and start the penalty clock as quickly as possible.

Clever Rob... Kudos to those who were able to finish all that food.

"Do you want a mint?" Ummm... yeah and maybe some Pepto, too.

I'm always impressed when someone learns the rules of the game, and then uses that knowledge to their advantage.

Well, he wasn't known as the Robfather for nothing on Survivor. Those were some good episode back then too when he was pulling the strings before he ran out of tribal allies.

I think Rob is a jedi knight.

I can just see him saying, "Those are not the droids you are looking for."

Rob's the man I'm actually a bit surprised the penalty worked for all of the teams that tried it. I thought it might backfire on the last to do so.

What was with no one using the yeild? Come on! If you are second to last to arive at the mat, might it not be a good idea to yeild the team behind you?

What's also funny is that Rob's ploy forced Team on Fire to have to finish eating all that meat because they were hellbent on beating Team Survivor. And considering the number of bunch-up points at the start of each leg of the race, as long as you don't finish last, then Rob's ploy looks better and better in retrospect.

Kudos to Amber also. She's so mellow and supportive...but clearly not weak since she went through two seasons of Survivor and now this.

Rob indeed is the friggin master. Nobody manipulates like him. Love how he asked the cabbie "what are they paying you"...cabbie says "four"....Rob says "i'll pay you ten". HA!

I liked Uchenna's funny reaction when the dude puked next him.

I was saying the same thing! DUMBASSES! Who cares if someone will get mad at you! If you're team number 8 of 9, you might not be around for someone to yield you next time... Jeez -- use some common sense.

It's fun to watch a smart/resourceful AR team like Rob/Amber. It makes the race more interesting. I think the producers should take note of this and try to cast a few more 'smart/resourceful' teams in the future.

The two girls getting lost has to be one of the biggest f-ups in AR history. Are you kidding me?

"Wow...look the ocean"

"Something's not right, we're supposed to be in the mountains"

If you look at the episode in perspective, the teams had a 150 mile drive and a 7-mile row (1 hour, tops). The teams got separated by 4+ hours before the meat-eating road block.

Exactly. Why go on a show like this if you can't read a map? And it looked like everybody had the same map and directions, so I'm guessing it was provided by the show. It should have been a no-brainer task.

I loved how the mom and son were talking about how hungry they were and discussing picking up a "light snack" when they got into town. They really blew it driving around town for almost two hours while other teams were already at the challenge. Somebody else just blew it more.
