Thanks - for some reason that didn't show up on my computer at home last night. But I see it now at work.

I don't know ... I wasn't really into this episode. With all the love from this thread, I'll have to give it another look .

BTW, we are in sore need of some more "Music from Scrubs" CDs IMO.

It was a downer ep...I hate when they dialogue does them in, when they could have just explained it better...
but can't go wrong with h. graham in unmentionables.

Anybody else feel the van scene at the end was just sad, not funny? I felt the way Cox was acting was over the top and out of character.

As far as the rest of the episode, it was good just like every single episode, but the comedy was definitely subpar by Scrubs standards. I didn't have a really good laugh the whole episode. Both of Braff's episodes have felt off to me. It's weird considering Garden State was my favorite movie last year.

cox and janitor have had an antagonistic relationship for some time and destroying his van is well within that relationship. I found it very funny and sad ...with the sad(at the end) diminishing the funny...but in a good story telling way.

that line about not being all "hands on" and then showing him rubbing his chest was pretty funny

I was referring to the jumping up and down, but even how he destroyed the van seemed a little too straight forward for Cox. I guess, for me, the scene could've been both funny and sad if they had actually come up with something a little more ingenious for the van. Not to say the van running right into the wall wasn't funny, but the scene deserved something better.

I thought the van running into the wall was sad, but I did laugh when it blew up and Cox starting jumping up and down laughing. Especially after Ted said "We can fix that."

I didn't like Cox destroying the van either. Too over the top and mean for his character.

More trouble for Turk & Carla. Ditto for JD and his new chick.

Kelso talking to his "son" on the phone.

Loved the new brain trust - I would love to see them together as a group in future episodes as well.

Interesting to see Dr Jan Itor and Blonde Doctor on a date. It ended well, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it picked up in future episodes.

I was kind of hoping that when the van moved forward, it was going to run into Cox's sports car and blow that up too. That scene did feel a little "off" to me.

Great ep. This show seems to be taking a more serious turn of late.

"Pleasure myself, weep, repeat"

Good episode. Agreed that Cox was a bit off though.

Anyone notice the scene in the parking lot where it was pouring rain? Yep, that was obviously courtesy of the 31 inches of rain that was dumped on us several weeks ago here in Southern California.

They shoot Scrubs down the street from me so I figured they must have just decided that they absolutely needed to shoot that scene and just did it despite the rain. And yes, it was raining that hard non-stop for about a week.

man, as i was watching this, i was thinking, "very Garden State". Now i find out braff directed it, and it falls into place. the rain scene, the sped up scenes... all extremely well-done and cool, an homage to his movie, or just his style? i loved the sped up scenes. i had to rewind and watch them again.

god, i still love the heather graham screencap from the last episode she was in, on the bed... i think someone had a gif on it, too.

loved the "do you think he realized you were being sarcastic" line from kelso to Cox... "God I hope not"

nice touch having Janitor call her Elliot at the end. that was a nice scene.

Carla and Turk are hitting a bumpy road. they won't divorce though. like someone said last week, they'll probably separate. then get back together and have a baby.

This show continues to amaze me in its ability to combine comedy (often slapstick comedy) with drama. i actually am extremely proud to call it one of my favorite shows (this and AD flip-flop as my favorite comedies... they can be so similar yet so different). i hope this sticks around for years.

Right now Scrubs has flopped over AD as my favorite...the past month of episodes combined with AD's absence on tv has done that.

The best example of comedy with drama was "My Screw Up"

definitely. "My Screw Up" may be the best scrubs episode ever, simply based on the feeling of the audience after the show. I know I loved it, and could only say, simply, "Wow..."

I don't think so. The Todd always names his high fives.
