Need Help IDing 80s Educational Kids Show
Hi everyone, I need help identifying this show.
I seem to remember watching some educational kids show on either early Nickelodeon or PBS that had talking boots and shoes as main characters. They were puppets, and they'd have the usual learning the alphabet fare of Sesame Street. I also seem to remember in the same show a pair of white gloved hands. You wouldn't see the rest of the arms and it would perform on a stage as well as the boots. For the gloves it was pretty much the black sleeves against a black background trick. They would clap at various intrevals to some kind of song probably.
There may have been human type puppets as well. I vaguely remember an old woman. All of it seemed to take place on some type of small puppet stage, although this could have been only part of the show. Looking back on it now, it kind of had a Muppet Show feel to it(with the shoes putting on a show both on stage and behind), but I could be off.
I watched Pinwheel, Today's Special etc. a lot as a kid, and I distinctly remember this being a seperate show which I think was on PBS. It could have been another country's answer to Sesame Street like Pinwheel was for Canada. I'd say it probably was on PBS in the very early 1980s. I know all different local PBS stations may have shown different programming so this is just a gamble to see if anyone remembers.
Thanks in advance.

I remember that show... but the name escapes me. Also watched the others you mention (Today's Special with the living mannequin, Pinwheel). I think the talking shoe one was PBS... I associate with 321 Contact for some reason.
